I’ve lived in NYC and am looking for a better quality of life. I’m a wheelchair user with a graduate degree and a retired Librarian. Would like to book a zoom meeting. Best wishes
It isn’t what is wealthy now… it is what it will be in the future. I’ve watched Atlanta grow for 60 years and yes, it is changing every year. Brookhaven is what Buckhead was 40 years ago. I’ve seen East DeKalb go from nice $300,000 homes… to homes worth $100,000. Careful where you buy, or what you think is nice… unless you plan on leaving in a few years.
If people could afford it nobody would leave NYC!! Its the most culturally diverse city, some of the best restaurants, museums and institutions in the world. Beautiful parks and historic buildings and neighborhoods, fast pace, exciting, open 24hrs and is beautifully gritty!!
The City of Atlanta Government is completely corrupt. The mayor hire the worst people to run government agencies. The Atlanta City is more corrupt than the mayor. The entire place is ran like the Mafia. Any one or anybody trying change is targeted and threatened. FBI where are you?
"New Yorkers are the best people on earth" - What do you know about the earth American boy? You're probably one of those Americans that doesn't have a passport or if you do, you've probably only been to the Bahamas 😄
Lived in NY Long Island for 58 yrs.. Retired 2 yrs. Ago to Conyers,Ga ( appr:25 miles east of Atlanta.. This young MAN knows what he is talking about !!!!!😊
#Funfact Houston has more Fortune 500 companies then the entire state of Georgia,Plus Houston is way prettier lush && green w/ A subtropical climate And palm trees🌴And has the diversity of several foreign countries combined from Caribbean,Cuban,Jamaican, Venezuelan,Colombian, El Salvador To Hawaiian, Vietnamese, Asian, African, cajun, Trinidadian, samoan,Italian Persian,Indian,Haitian cuisines tht would make the diversity And restaurant scene in Atlanta look/&& feel like“lil”local hole in the wall joints in comparison And thts not even including our fine dining Cuz places like trill burger, alone tops anything tht Atlanta has to offer which is mostly wings, tenders && burger joints Btw And y’all call tht diversity🤣wht a joke Houston food scene is#Unmatched🌯🌮🌭
🔥spot on and honest. i wish i had seen your video BEFORE I moved back in the summer 2019 (all my friends "promised" that Atlanta was so "progressive"!). actually moving back by this fall 2024 to pursue substance disorder counseling....way more opportunities, and yes, ACCESS, in NYC. -Peace
Its a shit hole now . 7 \2024 cadet houses painted white ha ha which don't work for cedar !!!! Its like downtown Atlanta Moreland ave . no its not safe
4\2024. Truth . I love in lawrenceville over 35 years . in the city Its gunshots heard constantly. Extremely over crowded. Schools go on lock down all the time . kids shot and killed at the bus stop Most houses are owned by large corporations . drive by shootings. Millions of huge dogs pit bull and rot . that's all . woman are not safe alone at all . and don't go out at night 2or three cars in the yard . the schools omg awful . school shooting and homeless tarp city's . they have ruined lawrenceville. The amplifier theater is nice but the rest has gone to shit . you can look up the crime and rapes . its downtown Atlanta and dekalb rolled into one now . It will be all rental from corporations soon . guess thas t a what the city wants . the property taxes are for a starter home between County and city 5k . the government sold lawrenceville out . To the corporate. Can't take a lunch at work cause it takes over a hour . good luck if you move here .. Frankly I'm leaving . can't go anywhere alone if your a woman . don't go at night . Kroger and Wal-Mart well they are nasty .. Go look for yourself. Do your research. Its turned into a shot hole
If y'all are going to to continue to come at least learn how to drive, dang tourist killing our traffic.... And dude you need an extended nap in Lake Lanier I'm missed you popped up on my feed!!!
We have about three thousand rentals coming online in Gainesville Georgia. We are an hour from central Atlanta. Road Atlanta is nearby and lake Lanier is steps from our house. Two universities and a million square foot level one trauma hospital. Rent for a one bedroom is $1400.
As an Atlanta local with properties in South Downtown and Lawrenceville, this is very accurate. Great explanation video. Hoping Centennial Yards changes things in South Downtown.
Lakewood Heights is a diamond in a rough it’s still transitioning but it’s only 1 mile from the Southside Beltline with multiple access points, The Sawtell Mix/Use project and Chosewood Park, ideal for first time homebuyers, my wife and I have been here for 6 years now, Oakland City, East Atlanta, Hunter Hills and Kirkwood are good comps
Politically correctness is shoving the truth under the carpet. There’s more than wealth that matters. A poor neighborhood can be safe too. Why does the crime follow skin color, and still a taboo to mention it? This quota system of crime, jails, policing, is preventing the society to better itself.
I have lived in Metro Atlanta, GA, since 09/19/1994, and I don't live south of I-20 ( Grant Park is the exception), east, or West of I-285. Old Bankhead, The Bluff, Riverdale, College Park, Austell, Douglasville, Unincorporated Decatur, Clarkston, Stone Mountain, Stonecrest, Conyers, Rex, Conley,...
There's only two things really wrong with Metro Atlanta... the traffic and no ocean beachfront, otherwise its a great place to live! Traffic: pick your routes and moments whenever possible Ocean beachfront: hop on a plane to Florida, the Caribbean or drive to the GA or S Carolina coast.
I live in metro Dallas, lived in Atlanta for very long a decade. Both cities have some similarities, but they are different, Atlanta is more lush with a more hilly terrain especially on the north side. DFW has better infrastructure. It’s also bigger. Dallas is like Atlanta with Mateo Birmingham right next to it. Last, depending on which way you are going, Dallas is the beginning of the SE or the SW.
Yeah most of NW and SW is still bad but give it a 3-5 years we should see a major difference. But that only applies to NW and SW on or close to the Beltline
