For hardcore fans of "The Partridge Family" and the brilliant pop music from the show, masterfully crafted and performed by the talented forces of producer Wes Farrell, the "Wrecking Crew" studio musicians, and David Cassidy.
This is a terrific song! I have fond memories of the show but didn’t remember any song except for I Think I Love You. I’m going to revisit the Partridge Family!
I watched this show now & then in the 70's as a kid. I don't really like their songs, but I do like this one & "Doesn't Somebody Want to Be Wanted". I still have the 45. I'd like to see this episode.
Our 4th grade homeroom teacher asked us who like The Partridge Family back at the beginning of the 1970 school year. Most raised the hand. He said he'd ask again later. At the end of the school year he repeated the question. That time nobody raise their hand.
He was blessed with talent. When that 14 year old girl was trampled and killed at a venue in London he went home to Hawaii and shut himself away in his bedroom for 6 months. He left that fame behind. His fan club was bigger than the Beatles and Elvis combined.🎉❤

From "Star Quality" & "Go Directly To Jail". FOOT NOTE: Dianne Hilderbrand also teamed up with Wes Farrell to write the Season 1 theme song "When We're Singin'".
Just heard this song on the radio for the first time in a few years and it reminds me of my cousin Jonathan that used to ride back and forth with me to work when we worked at Target together. Whenever this song came on the radio because I listened to the oldies Channel he would reach up and turn the volume up as loud as he could and start singing along with the song. Every time he would do it he would say don't you tell anyone how much I like this song. Now that he's no longer with us and I miss him very much this song was one of his guilty pleasures and he loved it and I just can't hear it without thinking about him.
