@@shivanshsharma4081 Freiburg is more like an international environment with many international students so, you’ll see most people speak in English or able to speak English. For part time jobs if you know lil bit German then it’s easy and you’ll have more opportunities.

Great content. My question was about the timeline for DAAD PhD scholars. When is the interview? How soon after the interview do you know your results? If successful, when does one move to Germany?
@@Rosegold254 so, application deadline is in October, it takes time to review your application and you might get notified about 1st selection process in March/mid April, you’ll have interview most likely in May and then in late June/early July you’ll get final confirmation about the results and then in October you can join your lab or research group for your PhD.
@@pranavkerketta6802 good luck for your masters. Try to enhance your research skills by joining internships and then prepare all the documents required and craft your CV and motivation letter and then start sending your application after your masters

Sir, my query is when do we start getting our stipend, like after a month or as soon as we join our lab ? So that we can be financially prepared beforehand. I will be thankful if you can clear this .
@@Preeti_Kataria Normally scholarship starts from 1st day or 1st week of the month (as soon as you get your German bank account number). But in case of funding from lab (contract based or employment based) you will get salary at the end of the month. So, I always recommend people to carry some money atleast for 1-2 months expenses when you are coming here.
@@Preeti_Kataria you will receive your stipend once you will have a German bank account. So, I’d recommend you to have some money before coming to Germany.
