I installed the phone lines before it reopened in the mid 90's after closing from the Altamont concert in 1969. The owner gave me a complimentary ticket to use when it reopened but I never used it. Nice video,
The stage was actually behind Turn 3. At 2:52 in the video, roughly between the scoreboard and the building to the right, the stage was in that area approximately 150' or so from the track.
Respectfully, that's close but not correct. At 2:55, noticed the patch of lawn at top center in front of the white truck. That is the basic location of the stage. I was standing on turn three all day looking directly down on the stage/carnage. You are correct on the distance.
Switch625 * I’m not sure but by the old footage of the concert, I believe the stage was at the south end by turns 1&2. Most of my footage was facing north at turn 4. Funny thing, my drone was stuck there for a bit because I lost contact with it. A hill obstructed my signal to the drone. Lol.
If you look at an aerial picture taken that day, it appears that the audience and the stage were actually OUTSIDE of the actual track, over the hills, not on the track itself. Quite surprised me. i.pinimg.com/originals/64/7e/1c/647e1c76e7aeba9e48e0fd0740c29618.jpg I've never been there but would like to.
Cool tests! I see you are be coming more confident! but you can never be too confident, would hate to see you crash your drone, or even worse Lose It!!! :-/
