These were the glory days of EE. They should have been bending over backwards to keep the cast they had, definitely not writing them out in a fit of tantrum. Best thing EastEnders ever did was cast Martin Kemp as Steve Owen, without doubt, still my favourite character ever! And the worst thing EastEnders did was kill him off. Muppets.
