I first heard this song when I was in 2nd grade on a game called "burnout reveng " on the original Xbox and after I got rid of the Xbox and all my games I recently looked up that games playlist and all the memories came flooding back
I've always loved this song and really disliked "Imagine", a few days ago in my Government class there was this discussion on "Imagine" and so many people were just agreeing with it so blindly, but me being such a quiet guy i just sat there shaking my head wishing I could blast this song out.
This song is a direct answer to John Lennon's "Imagine". It talks about how this idea of world peace is not a tangible idea, and furthermore, Lennon's song either discounts or grossly misinterprets this idea of love. A life devoid of love is in essence a life devoid of meaning or purpose. Think about it, not once in "Imagine" is the word love ever used. When I think of this song, I also tend to think of a cover of "Imagine" by the band A Perfect Circle. It's faithful to the original, but at the same time it's a very weathered-down version of the song, as if to say how everyone knows the lyrics to such a timeless song but little has been done to put forth an effort to creating a peaceful resolve to the world's problems. I encourage you to go listen to it. :) (The Burnout Revenge soundtrack was awesome, by the way. Found a lot of good bands from that soundtrack; Finch, Emanuel, Billy Talent, Bullet for my Valentine, Unwritten Law, and these guys. :D)
Nice to know I'm not the only one who heard this from burn out . You should check out ssx 3 and mx vs atv unleashed for similar music and maybe tony hawk underground
😵 That's where I remember this song from!!!😅 I'm thinking veishu? lullaby? I don't remember playing this when I listened to that album...and I feel like I would've listened to this a LOT more, because it's awesome 😶 then you mentioned burnout, and I'm 😵😄Thanks🏆
I remember this song from Burnout: Revenge. I also remember screaming along to this song from time to time (and also wrecking my car as a result of doing so) and doing a damn good job of doing so.
I love everything about this song, the beat, the instrumental , the singers voice and the lyrics specially i read brave new world and I agree with this song
I don't think that ideologies like nationalism and organized religion are worth dying for at all but I can agree that love is. To truly care enough about a person or cause for good in the world is very admirable. In short, people should care about people not institutions.
It's probably because this was probably first released on the Hopelessly Devoted to You, Vol. 6 compilation from 2006. It's a great 3 disc compilation it comes with 2 CDs and a DVD that includes the music videos for Deadbolt and Betrayal Is A Symptom if I'm recalling the song names correctly.
