What do you recommend for lowering an s197 and still keeping good ride quality? I'm running eibach springs with koni special actives at the moment but wondering if coilovers would actually ride better...
The 3.8 has some potential. I had a 99 35th anniversary 5 speed car and managed to pull a 14.6 E.T. out of it. The car ran 16.1 stock. Diablo programmer, true dual exhaust with H pipe, 1/2" intake spacer (not throttle body spacer), 3.73 gears, Ford locker, full frame ties, short throw shifter, quick throw clutch quadrant. Fun street car, and it pissed a lot of GT owners off lol.
I would like to know the cons of a having a vented hood if there are any. I know water gets into the engine bay from rain or washing your car but I don’t know of anymore.
thank you so much! i was wounder what is the most precise between torsen or clutch. also i hoped it's the torsen because no clutch means no degradation & maintenance
Do you have a recommendation for a suspension kit with all the right bushings in all the right places to be able to take corners at fast speeds in an 84 cutlass supreme?
I bought the last AGS 3.0 setup with KW's before KB closed... are you guys open again? Couple notes. For your front K member I remember the mounting locations interfered with any aftermarket exhaust manifolds. I had to cut them off, modify them, and re weld. All you have to do is trim the top portion down 1.5 inches. Setting up the rear shock mounting brackets was also a nightmare which required significant modification / welding. Other then that... I have to say it handles insanely well. Friends are white knuckling while I take corners. lol. Good work.
Kenny Brown... I haven't heard that name forever. I bought the last full KW / KB suspension setup after KB was sold and never heard from KB again. Rear suspension could have used a couple extra inches of travel. But corners on rails.
Thanks Kenny or the video. I believe my TR3650 has excessive slop or backlash. Is there a tolerance for this and what you be the fix please? Thanks, Tom
You have the concept of roll center backwards. A low roll center induces more body roll than a high roll center. A high roll center will “shear” the tires in a corner instead of letting the body roll because a high roll center is closer to the COG.
I had ball joints installed in my 96 stang up and lower year and a half later they are making noise squeak and it toes in on the top very little I need to have them done again a tech also said I need struts also what brand do you recommend and should I purchase a kit with the whole arm that come with ball joints and new bushings thanx 🇺🇸
? So what about the good ones like torco or boostane that use MMT like race gas does… this is a bullshit video. Your talking about the shitty owns at small auto parts stores.. there is a couple really good octane boosters like listed above that actually work and are proven on dynos..
My first, used SN95 (95 GT) had that split that Mr. Brown is talking about, Right behind the driver's seat. I remember when i finally bought some eBay subframe connectors with seat support. The day i put the car on the lift, mounted the connectors and had to use some screw jacks to press the connectors close to the body for welding. You couldn't see the headrest on the seats from the ground, but as i cranked the screw jacks up, the seats headrests slowly started to become visible. That's how sunken down the floor pan was...😐
I know I'll be hitting up Kenny Brown when I'm ready to do my coilover conversion on my foxbody. I already have a 03 Cobra IRS that I'm looking forward to them servicing before I install it on the car. 🎉
