Not to be mean but you guys forgot one step to do before putting the guinea pigs in the cage which is to put them in a big nurtural area and no the cage isn’t big enough for a nurtural area.😂😂😂
They only did research on the cage size.. not what was safe. I’m very proud you looked stuff up for cage size but most of the stuff IN the cage is unsafe. Idk what you’re expecting a 8-11 year old to do. She prob won’t clean the cage. All the pressure was on me at 10 too: -pay for over 500$ for my pig -put a pig in my room and kick out my cats & puppy -upgrade the cage -find him a friend I was 10 & imo that’s insane but when we got my pig my mom didn’t do any research. I’m happy that you did research but pigs are very gentle creatures and poop 100 times a day EACH so it’s a lot for an 8 year old.
Hello! your daughters new guinea pigs are very cute! the tiny one i would guess might be about 4-7 weeks old. i have three guinea pigs and i am in an activity called 4H which is an activity that is all year and during our county fair. i show my guinea pigs and if you would like you can look up county fairs or 4H. i am pretty much a guinea pig expert so i will give you some tips! everything i’ve seen you do in this video was amazing! here are some tips -do not feed ice burg lettuce(it’s dangerous for them) -rhubarb is poisonous -timothy hay is the best for them -only guinea pig pellets rabbit pellets are not for them -keep a clean cage often -baths at least twice a year are good because they are usually clean animals -be careful with their back it is VERY delicate -if they randomly get mean or change their attitude often, don’t worry it is completely normal -if you notice lice on your guinea pig don’t stress, it does not go to people or other animals, a good way to get rid of it is GENTLY wash the guinea pig in Dawn Dish Soap using only a little one time (we did this for my sisters guinea pig and within a week or so the lice was gone) or you could go to a vet and ask them for a good treatment that is guinea pig friendly and separate the guinea pigs so the other doesn’t catch the lice and if you would like anymore tips that you aren’t sure about feel free to ask! hope these tips will help! (and also make sure to give them some veggies at least everyday or every other day and fruits maybe 1-3 time a week considering they have a lot of sugar)
Wow, I really love how you did your research and how sweet your daughter is with them. Very well done.👍👍👍 The only thing I would recommend for doing in the future is getting your GP's at a shelter of at a breeder.
I thought it was going to be one of those family channels where they don't do enough research before getting a small pet that poops a lot like guinea pigs but it's actually a very responsible 8 year old doing a good job you know I never know how much she would clean the cage but I bet she's doing a brilliant job on looking after them
