I was there that night. 9 years ago today. I had always wanted to see them play this live, and they did it at my 28th and last ever Rush show. Thank you for sharing.
EXCELLENT JOHNNY THATS MY 2ND FAVORITE SONG BY LYNARD SKYNARD ( SIMPLE MAN BEING THE 1ST ) THANK YOU FOR CARRY ON THE LEGACY. ITS ALWAYS AWESOME TO LISTEN TO GREAT GREAT MUSIC. THANKS.
My favorite thing this man ever did was his imitation of Axel Rose singing the Mister Roger's Neighborhood Theme song. That was absolutely hilarious, someone should post that on youtube.
Kenny passed not to long after this, he did the best he could given he was already 68 years old and obviously had some health problems, still awesome! for me
Tom Cochrane does a nice job of working around the vocals. Ken Greer on the steel guitar and Jeff Jones on bass, just like the old days. Nice looking gal adding drumming and dancing. I think it's safe to say I'm going to play Neruda tonight sitting outside looking at the trees in my backyard . Rock On!!!!
Tom Cochrane really painted a vivid picture with thiis song. You can just envision watching The Canadians coming off The Landing Boats on June 6,1944 & The Horrors they had to endure to Liberate Europe from The Nazis. Great Job Tom for The tribute. Thanks to The Veterans 🙏 🇨🇦 🇺🇲 🇬🇧 🇲🇫 🇭🇲 🇵🇱
Slash has got to be cracking up I bet he's thinking in his mind damn it that's why I Play the fiddlestick ain't never got to worry about losing my voice even if I get fat I can still play
I have included this song in a script I wrote that has scored Semifinalist accolades in the Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards, NYC International Screenplay Awards, Wiki Screenplay Awards, Reno Tahoe Screenplay Awards , Filmmatic Drama Screenplay Awards, and several other Screenplay Awards. It's a great song.
Losing It was never an airplay hit, but rather was a buried track gem from a great album. Only fans that bought and listened to RUSH albums in their entirety would be aware of this song as you'd never hear it on the radio. Now I see it suddenly coming to light with several videos of live performances of the track, and people seem to love it. Not a surprise, it has long been one of my favorite RUSH songs.
