An At&T technical guy who came to install my optical fiber at my business 2 years ago was on his cellphone recording and texting someone and he ended up tripping and falling on his shoulder while exiting the building ( not my business unit , but the building) and now he is suing me for his fall……
I’m an incoming 1L and I have to read an archaic text on litigation procedure for orientation. This video is extremely clear, concise, and helpful. Thank you, Mark!
I just watched Coffeezilla's video where Logan Paul is suing him for defamation. It is clear as day that Logan has no case. In the video Coffeezilla easily combats Logan's accusations with videos of Logan himself that Logan uploaded. The suit says Coffee has malice intent and is a poor journalist spouting lies. Well there is a video of Logan saying what a thorough journalist and stand up guy Coffee is. Clearly Logan shouldn't even be able to sue. Is there no one checking the basics of a lawsuit to see if they are even creditable to go to the next stage? How are false accusations even legal? Like suing with no grounds or a woman trying to get child support out of a man who isnt the father or someone who is in the most minor of car accidents claiming to be hurt. How are there no repercussions in place to make sure people have to think twice before accusing someone else of anything? It's a clear scam and abuse of the legal system. You never hear "He isn't the father AND the mother now owes the father what the mother was asking." I remember one case where a woman sent a man to jail for 15 YEARS for grape or something. He was in jail for 15 years before they finally released him cuz they found new evidence that he was at a different location on the accused night or something completely obvious showing the clear lack of an investigation. But the woman didn't go to jail for 15 years. I don't think she was punished at all. Or if she was, it was probably something minor. I just remember thinking "That is such bull she can do that to him and not get it done to her back" Explain how that is possible? And explain the threat of burying someone in legal fees. If I get sued, why am I paying the court? Why is payment even happening during the proceedings and not part of the punishment of who ever loses? Coffeeziilla is clearly being attacked by Logan. And the one thing Logan has over Coffee is he's rich. So he is going to win the case cuz of money rather than clear logic? How on earth is that even a thing? Why should anyone even follow the law if the law doesn't follow the law?
I am getting sued , they want me to fill out the affidavit of no liabity insurance form but have no knowledge about it or what to do.. cannot find the right attorney for this case and have a few weeks til further actions are taken , anything helps right now as for advice , attorneys info, or if I should fill out. My insurance has terrible communication with me and looking for an attorney myself isn’t looking to good..

On July 4th I cussed out the Virginia lottery app on Facebook messenger. There's no victim involved, the state picked up the charges under communicative threats, even tho there is no victim involved, being I was only messaging an auto response on messenger. I'm planning on representing myself, since in Virginia, it says in statue that a victim needs to be in reasonable fear of bodily harm or death, but there is no victim. The state is charging this, since it was flagged on Facebook as harmful messaging. Curious for your opinion, but thank you regardless for your video and info. God bless. I made a dumb mistake of gambling drunk with the state, and cussing out an auto response message on Facebook. Ty for any response
@@Burner355 shit is crazy. I'm trying to get a lawyer but I make too much. They want like 5 grand I don't have to help me get it dropped or reduced to disturbing the peace. I just don't have it. They feel confident that even though the supreme Court ruled businesses can be treated as humans. That AI doesn't fall into that category. Shitty thing is that I don't have the money to fight it. I'm just a regular old framer for a construction company with no priors. State is telling me I'll have to sign my rights to council and represent myself if I can't afford an attorney
Depends on the circumstances, but one possible consequence is an adverse inference. That's a type of order where a judge basically says, "I'm just going to assume that whatever was deleted would hurt your case."
Is there an attorney that practices in Indiana, I have a slum lord that deceived my family into moving into a house that is full of black mold, the city inspector actually called cps they came and said we are trying to remedy it but now we have to move and this guy wants to sue me. We have pictures from cps and us from we moved in( maybe video also) but hundreds may want to hop on as a class action suit, this guy owns lots of properties and the city is aware of him. Contact me if you think you want to join or represent, this guy always devolves his company when getting sued but I was told by him this was a personal property and separate if true this might be a way of learning
My parents are getting sued for something serious I can’t talk about, I’m not sure what to do because they want to just not hire a lawyer and represent themselves, They think it’s not there fault they’re innocent…which is true but for 3 million I think we should get a lawyer or just sell everything I’m not sure
I was sent by Roto Rooter to a collection agency in Louisiana. I offered to pay RR in installments but they only accept their stupid credit loan company which I applied and got denied for. So they sent me to Esp receivables. I got one phone call from a rude rep there that was willing to cut the bill in half but my offer of $300 wasn't enough for his greedy a$$. He wanted $700 in 12 months so he lied about cutting it in half! That takes the amt back to the original $7500. I sent a rebuttal letter asking for proof of validation of debt well within the 30 day window. Esp ignores all my calls and emails to try to speak to another rep to settle so if they don't provide validation I'm reporting them before they can take my poor butt to court
This is a great question. I have some contractual limitations on what I can say on some topics? What are you interested in learning about specifically?
@@LydaGroup mostly interested in how it works from the side of the attorney associated with MetLife. I’m a 3L with plans on starting my own firm and I’m interested in maybe affiliating myself with MetLife.
It's useless if involved with governance or Biggest Companies.. Any effort will return with bad Results on it... How many percent the the success process? 0.00001...finally lost everything... not trust to the Law.. Bcoz many way can manipulate on it... Some the result is Vice versa..
I hit a guy with my car at a blind intersection and he’s now suing me for $1 million dollars for chiropractor care after my insurance company offered him $1,500. Should I file for bankruptcy?
Can you represent in California? My lawsuit had been denied twice. I'm not sure why the vase is being denied. I have police reports witnesses and ambulance reports.
I got into a car accident with a motorcycle, the report review was on my favor but a week later the cop that was there called me and told me that someone said that my wheel was slightly over the white line and that I was at fault, after the guy was speeding and zigzag all over the place and that my story of the events matched 2 or 3 people that were there that's what the cop said before he called me a week later. Now they are suing me for 50k and my insurance only cover 25k. I dont know what type of lawyer i need to look for or what to do at this point.
Are they able to take an asset if it's joint? The only assest I (partially) own is my car. I haven't been able to work in 2 years due to ongoing medical conditions.
So when you need help, do you just share your legal insurance info with your lawyer for example? Or when is the best time to bring it up? What if you paid upfront for a legal fee but didn't realize you had legal insurance, is it possible to get some funds back? Or at least set yourself up for future requests?
Great question. Bring this up with your lawyer right away - don’t assume they accept legal insurance. Attorneys are not obligated to accept legal insurance, and many don’t. In general, it is a good idea to discuss fees right away with your attorney.
So… my mother initiated SSI benefits on my behalf without my knowledge just before my 18th birthday and continued to claim such benefits for 4 years until I found out by finding a letter addressed to me… she filed me as “financially incompetent” and my father had no knowledge until recently either… she’s amassed quite a bit from my name and is continuing to down our lives in more personal ways… can I sue her for this??? I would like to know if I can claim the years of what she has taken…
This video saved me money and prevented me from asking my lawyer questions about the exact process I'm going through right now at this point in my life. Thanks much Attorney.
If I paint a very unflattering portrait of someone that shows them doing terrible things, can they sue me? Can I claim that it isn’t meant to resemble them, even if it clearly is supposed to be them?
Thank you for your video and all the information, my sister is debt because she received a judgement to pay a year and half of rent because my Father got cancer and he couldn't provide anymore for house expenses. She is still struggling with this debt and don't have enought money to pay is there anyway she can dispute or avoid paying this debt by declaring herself in bankrupt?
