Well since we're here, why don't we take a pod down to the surface and have ourselves a little look around? I for one would love the opportunity to explore Earth's cities.
I read somewhere it was the dev teams first game or something, if true they did spectacularly. Also this main menu music is so good. I have a rescue dog that is absolutely petrified when there's storm weather so I play this on my Bluetooth speaker and it really does help keep her calm.
Some dumbass forgot to take the right precautions before making a warp jump and then the same dumbass forgot to close the warp portal you helldivers are gonna be seeing a whole lot of chaos space marines soon
“At first I thought that the sounds, more specifically the groaning. Was the metal of the ship twisting to face the beauty that is now meridia, but when I looked down at my super tablet the ships structural integrity was fine. Then I thought it was my super tinnitus from firing the super guns but I heard the squid like noises, it makes me shutter. Finally I thought the unthinkable, the illluminate are back, I hope that these undemocratic thoughts leave my head. My grandfather fought against the squids in the first galactic war, he said it was hell. I’ve seen hundreds of helldivers dive from this vessel and never make it back, I fear that hundreds more will die in the coming weeks” - main guns technician William A Goodman
This is sort of like Sony's Halo. There is a slim chance it might happen since Halo will be getting ported to PSN sometime but knowing Sony they'll probably keep it themselves.
what might happen is that the dark fluid transports illuminate to the planet, it becomes an illuminate planet. we then take back over meridia and the illuminate use this as a way/justification to come after us again.
Just had the thought, what if when the dark fluid does whatever its going to do, the dark fluid (which is what the illuminate use for space travel) accidentally transports them to our system, like a “oh shit!” Moment and the illuminate take it as a hostile action when it’s just we didn’t know it would do that.
