i do have a theory Hundun plays a role, and we have evidence it does Hundun is one of the 4 perils of Chinese Cosmogony, and is called the Primordial Chaos, already a connection. This creature is also made out of Qi, Matter and Form all at once in a confused state, maybe similarly like the clouds in the S6 Finale. but since its also apart of cosmogony, it means its one of the Origin Myths, somewhere that takes place when the universe was made, like how there was nothing but Chaos before Nüwa made a cycle. but it gets all shut down since its not in the book. You might say, Nüwa is not in the book, yes and no, some supreme being turned into Nüwa after death and becomes her, she only appears in one single chapter and never been mentioned again. So it really depends if they want to add Hundun while having 0 text or the four perils mentioned
