O k someone needs to get fired at speed queen. Here's a good idea. Use that inverter motor on an old classics speed queen with a transmission man that will be awesome because it will be running much more quieter than the humming noise it makes.
Why in the world would you would you test and demo a wash cycle WITHOUT adding ANY laundry detergant what so ever to the load? Not to mention you actually expecting the washing machine (or any brand of washing machine) to CLEAN your extremely nasty black greasy shop rag work towels to come clean "without" adding detergant. Epic failure on your part in claiming the nasty greasy shop rag work towels didn't come clean. Good job though for the video in showing the wash cycle and how the machine operates.
Ozone kills smells/bacteria. Ozone generators are often used in hotel rooms and rental cars because they kill all smells even cigarette smoke but Ozone is a gas so i don't know how it well it could mix into the water
Thank you for the video. Very straight to the point. My washer had a little metal tray that the pump sits held on by 10mm bolts. Need a socket extension for these. It was also difficult to get out of there. I replaced the pump, which was no good and put it all back together except for the retaining ring for the tub gasket. I have tried several times and think I will have to get a spreader tool to do this, the spring is just too stiff.
I have the previous version of this machine for 5 years now and it really does a good job but it will go for a walk if the load gets out of balance during spin.
my mom has a washing machine similar to this one, but hers has the amana brand. however, the agitator doesn't have a fabric softener dispenser in it so mom has to do a rinse & spin cycle if she wanted to use any fabric softener
Slow as Christmas. Don’t need to see any more. I’ll stick with my mid-1980s Whirlpool direct drive washer with dual action agitator. 35 minutes for large, heavily soiled loads.
Mine only feels as much as the first picture you showed halfway up the machine if even halfway. I have tried changing all the different load sizes and even specific size where it's supposed to select the automatically and it just won't get any higher than halfway up
My 1987 Kenmore Limited Edition Electronic Fabric Care washer needs a complete overhaul. Leaking oil. Leaking water. Noisy spin gear. Neutral drain often fails. Fabric softener dispenser shoots out water and overflows. It has never had any repair except agitator dogs and fluorescent tube and starter. I wish you were in California as I would trust you to make it like new again! No one here will touch it and I am not one to “tinker”.
Thank you so much for this! The pump came arrived in a few days from you all and I had it installed and back working again in less than an hour. You all rock! Best tutorial I've used yet on youtube!
I replaced the suspension rods, after a few loads it keeps saying "unbalanced" I found a RU-vid video comment from "@gened9632" and I want to share it with everyone: Perform a balance calibration when you're finished. Hold down "Temp" and "Delay End" buttons simultaneously for a few seconds and when it reads "cal", press start. It takes about 2 minutes to run through.
Fixing that washing machine 🙌 is just about like fixing a classic car 🚗 that has been out in a field, or in a barn for 45 years. The part that counts, is getting either one into perfect 👌 running condition. The only part that got to me, is turning the washing machine upside down, or laying it down. It's often said not to do so, for that the oil can leak out of the transmission. GREAT JOB 👍, and video length. Your friend, Jeff.
Hi could you please assist me. I have the same model machine. It's full with water and doesn't drain. It's been stuck. I dont know what to do. Much love from johannesburg South Africa
I count eight pants. Six Dickies, two beige/black-pockets Parkside. It would been ten with the black/orange-pockets and green Parkside, which were removed.
I think this machine did a great job. It had good turnover and used water to get the job done in one wash period. I would consider buying this if I needed a new machine. Speed Queen is out of the question as it is to pricey for mt pocketbook.
If you think this sounds unhealthy then listen to the maytag centennial commercial washing machine... it's an older version. Got the job done. Just like this one. And I like the fact they stuck with the traditional agitator... works just fine
Its ok. Its not exactly a SQ TC series. But its exceptional. They agitation could be a bit more better with more grab pull and turn over. And better balance when in spin mode.
I watched all your videos and thought this machine would be perfect! So i purchased it last year and have had nothing but problems from 2nd week. First i couldnt get anything but low water levels. Had many service calls, until the control panel was replaced( or is it called the mother board?) Now I can't get any level, but deep water even when using the normal echo with only a tiny, light load. Plus my presoak and extra rinse no longer presoaks or gives extra rinse. I can get a presoak if it's set to the extra rinse knob on options, but no extra rinse. Basically i think i got a lemon cause i know from the videos i have watched, this is NOT the way the machine should work. Strange thing is that the 2 techs sent by maytag from the same repair company, saw my problem, admitted it, but filed the report to Maytag that the machine was operating as expected. Why would they do that, except that they do not want to replace it and the more time they stall, the less $ they will have to offer me prorated. They refuse to change this mother board again. Isn't it possible that this part is defective or was damaged in shipping?? I am at a loss. I was hoping you could tell me what u think could possibly be wrong with the machine. I purchased the one with the 5 /10 yr warranty so paid a lot more than i could have if purchased the 1 yr warranty. I will prob need to call an independent repairman in, but not only will i pay for service call, but it will cost me for all parts and labor! Please any ideas what could be wrong, how much that control board costs and what can i do to get my warranty covered by Maytag? Didn't u do phone consults at one time? I would love to have a phone consult if you can send me a link to discuss this. Thx for any help!
I have this washer and it finally went kaput. Think it lasted around 4 years with probably 4 or 5 visits from a technician. The biggest pain in the ass by far was the balance. Constantly saying it was off balance. Constantly going into the spin dry cycle and thinking it’s off balance and then FILLING with water. If that’s not the most insane engineering malfunction I could ever imagine. I think it genuinely had a single plus, and it’s that it really did an amazing job spinning the clothes dry when it did work. Sometimes you’d think you might not even have to toss them in the dyer. Probably did about 7 loads a week. The vast majority of them very easy loads with single digit items like shorts, boxers, shirts. Literal single outfits. So..I guess she did around 1200 loads. Terrible experience all around. Wouldn’t recommended.
My wife and I did exactly what you said and changed the Hall sensor and the harness. It worked! We aren’t appliance repair people but we took it slow and it works better than ever. Thanks.
I looks like everything is washing on a "gentle" cycle with these fancy "high-efficiency" machines. No wonder clothes don't come out clean. I'll keep my tank of a Whirlpool direct-drive washer with its dual-action agitator. Nearly 40 years old and still chugging without a misstep...and does a full load in about 30-35 minutes.
