20 year old Traditional Grassroots Quartet Singer and Historian Kendallrk03@gmail.com The purpose of this channel is to bring the bass singer back to traditional quartet gospel and get my voice/God’s music out to the world.
William Bobo that deep voice gave me the tickles. Reading comments on the videos I did not know he personally train Melvin Franklin. I did remember reading that Melvin's bass was way lower than the other average bass singers from back in the day.
@xrigtrk, how do you know who's who and so much about this group? I just found out that Jethro is my first cousin. My mom passed and I stumbled across this fancy old picture. I asked my cousin She said it's Jethro. Music is in my family. My mom sung Jazz and Blues.
"Its a GLORY HALLELUJAH!" THIS SONG SUNG BY THE HARMONIZING FOUR IS STELLAR! MAKES ME SMILE JOY INSIDE MY TEARS THINKING OF MY DAD WHO WOULD HAVE BEEN 100 YEARS OLD THIS YEAR.
I love your style of music. My Dad had sanged in a group you featured recently, The Detroitiers. He shared Bass singing duties with their other Bass singer Robert (Bob) during the fifties and sixties. He name was Felix Williams Sr. I remember Mr.Ollie Green and Rev Leroy Barnes. If there's anyway you could get something from the sixties era from Their" Paul Ship Of Joy" radio,WJLB AM, broadcasting please, please let me know. My dad's been gone since 1988 and I've got nothing to remember by vocally. 🙏 Thx

The Guitarist is my Father! I just found this… trying to contain myself. Michael Rogers, born 7/30/1947… He had to be between 15-17 here… I lost my Beautiful Father in 2012, He met my Mom in 1967 and married Her in 1968.. He never sang on the road after that but would become one of the founding members of his own Gospel Group from the early 70s through the mid 90s… I’m sorry if I’m being too much, you don’t understand.. it’s like meeting my Dad all over again. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You for this Gem… the quality is absolutely amazing.
