Hello everyone, PDF here! Other than showing off my pro noob skills, I enjoy helping others learn how to get better at this game we all enjoy! From easy tutorials, to survival tips and tricks, even some building ideas...I want to show that if I can do it, anyone can! While I primarily play Bedrock Edition, we'll dive into Java stuff as well! With a bit of luck, you'll even be entertained as well!

Writing this on May 13th, 2024 on version 1.20.81: I build it exactly as you did and it worked exactly as intended on the first try. Then went I used it a second time, the wither lost about 75% health from suffocation before randomly escaping and destroying everything before I could finish it off.
Playing on 1.20.60. Made the trap to spec and it works once or twice, but on subsequent uses, the wither escapes once the skeletons spawn and I can’t figure out why. Unfortunately I’m not sure I can trust to use it on our realm.
Yo pdf I'm leaving this comment shortly after prowls vault hunter (for time scale) first vid of yours I've watched and I've gotta say, I have not seen a barter farm running on this concept firstly and secondly you make it entertaining to watch.
While testing this trap in creative it would work sometimes but not others it looks likes it gets free when the wither skeletons spawn probably meaning they push him out Looks like it will be rng if the skeletons push the wither out or not
does magma block prevent witch spawns after version 1.20.32? right now there is nothing spawning and Ive covered the entire building with solid blocks and slabs. Ive waited for three in game days and nothing.
Just an update: I built this farm about 2 months ago and it was working well. I had heard that an update had broken some of the other wither killers and they had to be redone so I just tried it again. This killer will take the wither down to half health but when he spawns in the wither skeletons they push him out of the bedrock and he is free to roam around. I was able to kill him still because he stayed around the water and decided to dig down instead of going up in the air. Guess it will be back to the drawing board.
Something very important to remember with the treasure chest. When you find the treasure you MUST destroy the chest. If you don’t and find another treasure map in the area (it’s a big area) the game will take you back to the same treasure unit that chest is destroyed.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: It may be that this Wither killer no longer works as of the subsequent updates after 1.20. I just tried to use this device after having it work just fine before. The Wither broke out, killed me, and threatened to destroy the central end island. Luckily I was able to take it out with other gear I had in storage and recover my stuff, but I don’t know if I would recommend using this design now. I think the wither skeletons it spawned somehow managed to nudge it out of the bedrock. I should have known something was up when it shot a blue skull at one of the obsidian pillars while it was still in the bedrock trap. I got my Nether star but only after nearly having a heart attack when it broke out and then fighting like my life depended on it 😅 I can now say that I’ve taken out a bedrock wither, on hard mode, in the end dimension 😂
i was having the same issue normally ill play on hard mode but for me to get this to work with no issues, and get my star i just turn it to easy mode when i want to summon him, and it works like a charm i hope that helps.
@@fulltimefool2666I can also confirm that this generally will not work on 1.20.10. Some point the wither stops suffocating, breaks the obsidian, and escapes.
It most certainly does! tested it that very day in a brand new 1.20 world. be sure you followed the construction vid and place the blocks exactly where shown, it can be a little picky with placement!
@@thephoenixdrakenfire I did place them in the correct place,half way through when the wither was being killed the wither stopped taking damage and then got out
@@itbv2703 hmm....did you place the soul sand the correct distance down from the bottom? i can't say i've run across that issue in any of my testing. is this a solo world or a smp?
Tested and it still works in the 1.20 update. If the obsidian keeps getting destroyed, it could be that it's not in the correct place. It's really there just to keep the wither skeletons in. As long as you have it even with the outer layer of the portal it should still be ok!
