@@chris_jonzey If I run at slow pace 7-8 min/kilo and my weight is 125 lbs. Do you think the eclipse will be too firm for me? Sometime when I use superblast at those pace it make me go faster than I want and Hearth rate go way too high.
In regard to the shoe, it’s been great for me holding more consistent paces, something I generally struggle with. My typical variation is between 10-15 seconds per km, however with this it is closer to 5 seconds.
I am positive I subscribed previously…….however on finding this video it seems I wasn’t. Either way, I really enjoy your videos. Looking forward to seeing more.
this shoe is not good with high arch, or underpronator. It's kinda heavy to run, maybe an insole customized can be appropriate fit to feel the ride of this shoe
I must be the lucky One who has no issues with premium Nike running shoes...The Invincible Run is a shoe that barely needs an introduction. It’s among the most (if not the most) comfortable max-cushioned trainers that we put on our feet. No heel slippage for me. The breathability test is a solid 4/5. Takes me 30 seconds to lace them up. Definetly not a shoe for you, it's like giving NUTS to some One that has no teeth.
Chris, I wish you the best with your surgery and recovery. Great review of the Saucony Endorphin Speed 4, and happy to see you back! How about those Tracksmith socks you were wearing? Anything to say about them?
I own a pair of the Saucony Pro 3’s and absolutely love them. I am training for a 100km road run and I use these for my weekend long runs which are currently at 32km and my speed sessions. They have done about 350km and I would easily buy them again. Thanks for your fantastic video.👍😊
Great video Chris. I bought my Vaporfly Next% last year and I felt like a complete fraud as I'm a below average runner. But they made a big different to my running and recovery.
I want to try these. I have the ASICS gel nimbus 25 and the trabuco max 2. Both I’m happy with. I just got a size too small so I’m switching up a size because my toes are bruised and blistered.
Chris, the controversial question: for slower marathon runners, who are losing their running form and mechanics after 30-40K, all tired up and aiming for times in the 4 hour range, is this the proper shoe? We’re talking average paces of 6 min /km or 10 min / mile here…I have read everywhere that the shoe is “unforviging” because it’s demanding and the foam is on the firm side, tiring factors to be on it for 4 hours. In other words, “Not for the average runner”.
Man I’m not sure how you can say these are a firm ride. I’ve got the Invincible 3, the Nimbus 25 and these. I think the Ghost Max compare to those max-cushions really well. I don’t find them firm at all
I’m very impressed with this model. So much of running is mental. This offers nice performance and give you the confidence for a long run and a quick run. Or a casual run if you like.
Which is better? The ASICS Superblast or the On Cloud Eclipse? I own the ON Cloud Monster bc they were on a clearance sale and I thought they were firm and did not like them. Did not like the On Cloud Surfer either sadly.
Cloudeclipse is a squishier, softer ride. It’s very comfy and fun to run in, but the Superblast is a bit more versatile. It can do it all, easy miles, marathon pace, strides, track workouts. It’s a great shoe.
@@Wings_nutI would bet you are pretty accurate here, they are already pushing how much of a value they are with the replaceable midsole so they're probably going to be pricey.
@@chris_jonzey sweet, I've got 460 on my current pair and honestly...they just won't die 🤣🤣. Have a second pair waiting in the box but I truly believe I'll hit 600 with no issues. And I don't ever take shoes that long but these just still feel fun to run in. Worth every penny especially at $140 with the Asics 30% veteran discount.
love my SuperBlast, im a stability runner and its good to use them to feel that free speed. asics need to give GT2000 FFturbo, its the best midsole on market for comfort and easy speed.
Where exactly on the top of your foot did you feel that pain? About 30 miles into the shoe, I felt a pain on my first metatarsal closer the the big toe. I thought I might have fracture my foot. I’ve looked everywhere and haven’t found anyone who felt similar pain until this video. I’m wondering if it’s the harder material on the interior portion of the tongue? Just seen the portion where you described the tongue issue
Yes, I felt the pain across the metatarsal area of my left foot. I usually use a runners knot to keep the lockdown tight, and I think this is a shoe that you shouldn’t use that particular tie down. I’ve never had that issue since.
Thanks for the video Great reviews I use the NB 4 for my easy miles ( I find the nimbus too squishy) and as a superblast “ saver “ Hope the leg feels better asap ! Had a couple lower extremity injuries last year - physio - specially physio who treats runners has been key Took a while but it finally turned around ! Take the time you need !
Are you able to do any weightlifting? I know it's not the same, but I'm a weightlifter breaking into becoming a hybrid athlete so I've started running and I'm fascinated by it. Don't know if you'd feel the same way about weightlifting, if you're able to do it.
