If the niners drafted aaron rodgers, there is no guarantee he would have developed into a good qb. The niners organization was a mess back then. Just look at the number of head coaches they during alex smith era. Smith was lucky to3 have lasted long enough for Harbough to become coach and learn to become a decent qb.
Since Kyle and Chris are best friends and have each others initials tattooed on their ankles I think we need a statement from Kyle on Chris's ranking. Otherwise Kyle is complicit in some way in what is going on here. There is no way Chris would put out this ranking if he knew it'd piss of his best friend Kyle.
Dak isn’t better, Herbert ehhh Kirk cousins about similar and Arron Rodger used to be better will see Monday night who looks better. If you take Lamar’s running ability away he’s so so and chokes in big moments in the playoffs every time.
Stats brings facts. His takes are fact based. He’s not a clickbaiter but he isn’t an acolyte either. I won’t watch Grant Cohn. Felt the same way about trying to read his father. Blatant manipulation and some of the personal attacks are unconscionable. Stay open Rob, and stay alone
People can say what they want, Brock since his first year as a rookie has been putting his best foot forward. Look at all that he has already achieved after being thrown in on his rookie season. To me, if you can't see that Brock has talent, then maybe you should not be a commentator on the subject. Watch the film!!!
Of course Chris only does it for clicks. He’s turning into florio. Chris is as bad of an analyst as he was a QB. The whole take was just ignorant and wrong. Brock’s not elite bcz he can’t throw side arm. Gtfoh, Chris is a clown.
A shocking list from Simms. A clown. Not just having Brock at 17. Lawrence at 9 a joke. Having the 2 rookies ahead of Purdy a joke. Jordan Love ahead of Burrow. Really?. Richardson at 11 ahead of Stafford. Laughable
he'd rank kyle at #1. So, now we have to ask what's kyle's involvement in this ranking as kyle and chris have each others initials tattooed on their ankles.
And thats why im not a simms subscriber. Everyone has their opinion and i respect that but in no way have i ever agreed 100 with simms. If the coach struggles? Wtf is that? Ya if reed sucks then mahomes doesnt win. Get real simms. Also, i dont get the dak prescott thing. The dude is not a top 10 qb period.
A great defense isn't a great defense if they can't make a really good to great qb struggle at times. Every qb struggles from time to time against the better defenses in the league.
I can't believe I'm listening to these free RU-vid channels that have an opinion that is so far from what is happening. I guess you get what you pay for. I think I'm addicted to someone talking about the niners.
Half of the stuff you guys go out of your way to defend Brock Purdy for is very homerish. If he wasn't on your team with all these all pros you would see why others still doubt him. If he was really this elite QB, 49ers fans think he is he should've won the SB for your team, but guess what he didn't.
Brock being the worst QB in the NFC west according to the list after finishing 4th in MVP voting and the others not even sniffing an MVP vote last season tells you all you need to know about this list 💩
Simms showed instances where Purdy would take the sure quick completion, when his OL gave him ample time to go for the bigger play ... Ayuk could've been a bigger factor in the SB. On factoring arm strength and bigger physique in the pocket ... big guys like Big Ben would often throw accurate passes with a defender draped on him, while big arm strength allows Rodgers to make powerful, accurate passes while drifting away from a defender. Either of those traits would've helped Purdy deal with the McDuffy and Jones penetrations. Spags saved those for the biggest moments. Finally, all 49er fans complain that they should've ran the ball more. Snead said their plan was to make the 49ers throw instead of run. Elite, no, very good, yes. 8 to 12 seems about right. What he lacks in physical traits, he makes up for in composure and solid decisions.
I used to get upset when Purdy would get criticized, but I’ve realized that if I personally think he is a top 10 QB, I need to hold him to that standard. While I think he was phenomenal in his first full season, we needed him to take over the game in the Super Bowl and sadly he didn’t. I believe in him, but I need to see Purdy as the engine of the offense. I personally do think he’s a top 10 QB but I can also understand their low ranking on him.
I want to hear what you think about Grant saying on social media that Dobbs is outperforming Purdy. Yet Krueg says Purdy is doing the best and is top notch during the OTAs. So who is lying here?
Michelle Vs Simms would be entertaining to watch, but let's be honest Michelle would slap him around the head with stats (not you rob), leaving Chris reeling. I actually don't mind Simms he puts a lot of work in, and there are times when he is insightful, but his addiction to "arm talent" skews his QB judgement imho. There is no good explanation why people (including Chris) love QB's such as Trevor Lawrence so much, other than extreme projection of what might be
Brock truly hasn't accomplished anything at all! Why do you all beg the world to like him? He's good at procession, but he's not good at seeing over the line. He's not good at throwing the ball deep. There are players who can do it all, so stop acting like he's more than he is
@cameronzwicke5761 Josh Allen, Jow Barrow, Justin Herbert, Pat Mahomes, CJ Stroud, Jordan Love, Jalen Hurts, Trevor Lawrence are enough to name. Each one of these players is physically superior to Brock, and all of them can discern defensive schemes. The difference is and has been repeatedly reported as being the talent around Brock and the play designer himself. Brock gets his credit... the problem is when you Brock supporters give him his teammates credit as well. If you could see the way the players around him are balling out, you wouldn't care as much about others not liking Brock. He's not for everyone. Most true NFL fans want their quarterback to be able and attack every inch of grass on the field to see the play develop with ease over the tall lineman. Brock is good at some things but not those important things there. In fact, he's yet to beat a really good defense with his arm. A defense with both pass rushers and good corners. He's failed throwing 5 INTs when he plays those teams. Other teams he's won against he played well against a defense without both pass rushers and DBs. He's not physically good at anything he's all anticipation, which is why when BA isn't wide open, Purdy's performance becomes shaky. He's had good to great plays, but he's never put the team on his back in a big game and won.
And besides Mahomes and maybe Joe B which of them made two straight NFC championships one SB appearance ohh 😮 Brock Purdy.. STF Big game division round and NFC championship game he put the 9ers on his back dumb dumb U@@pn1240
Wtf are you talking about he can't throw the ball deep lol he led the league in YPA. Aiyuk was top 5 at 18.5 yards per reception. Who the fuck was throwing Aiyuk passes
@@pn1240he's literally taller than Jalen hurts and the same height as Patrick Mahomes. You're talking out of your ass basing your assessment on his draft position. Your ONLY knock on Brock is height lol.
I think its extremely short sighted to say definitely Brock Purdy "can't go above and beyond to the level of Allen or Mahomes" because Purdy's only played 1.5 seasons. Outside of Mahomes, Purdy has already accomplished significantly more than Allen has thus far. So, until Purdy's career is complete, to say Purdy is incapable of anything is premature and ignores the potential for growth and development he has already demonstrated.
