Hello there, Welcome to my channel. The number 1 channel for middle aged, mediocre mountain biking. 😎 This channel is all about my e-bike adventures. I’m based in Dumfries & Galloway in Bonnie Scotland. I’ve only started biking recently around June 2019. I hope to use my channel to show the cool trails l’ve ridden and to hopefully show my progression as well. I ride a Specialized Turbo Levo Comp Carbon 2019 e-bike, l know these can be a bit devisive, but l love it !! I will also use it to review some of the gear that l use and hopefully this will be of help to others. Also if you like my videos, please like and subscribe, that will really help the channel. Please feel free to leave any comments, all advice is welcome, l will try to respond to them all. Thanks for looking. Ride Safe & Keep The Faith. Scott.
Watching it makes it look suitable for my 6yr old just starting out his first blue trails but now ive read comments about injuries on it im not so sure . Any recommendations on an easy introduction trail for little ones besides this?
Hey dude. This is my other account, l don’t really post on the TFTD site anymore, got rid off the bike after a bad crash last year. If l recall correctly they were both size large. I’m 6’6”, normally l would’ve bought an XL, but l used the RaceFace size guide and went for the L. They were awesome, my fave pads. Hope that helps. Ride Safe bud.
I would take the full suss, especially if your hitting the black sections. Its a great day out but the full red is kinda boring. This is my other account. T.F.T.D.
@@syms85 if l remember it was a good few hours to get round. If you follow the same route we took, it’s pretty much fun all the way with very little forest roads. All the sections we took kinda all link together. Yeah, Danny Hart’s bike park is there but that was above my pay grade, way to skillfull for us. I don’t post anymore, l had to get rid off the bike after a big crash where l broke my shoulder. I keep the channel up just for the chance to let other riders see the trails. You’ll have a top day there. Gimmie a shout and let me know how you got on. Ride Safe & Keep the Faith. T.F.T.D. 🤙🤙
@@shitpostmcgee sry to hear about the brake mate. I’ll keep you posted. Just watching the DH videos yeah I need to learn to jump first at 39 I think it may take a while!
Excellent review. I have the same lenses and I am a trail runner. I have the Radar Ev Advancer with e vented lenses and a bridge that pushes the glasses out from face for more venting. Love them but these jawbreakers look great. Didn’t realize they are also vented. Accurate description of lens performance.
Good video 👍! Did that bone shaker black today and nearly died 3 times! Well washed out now for sure! 😂. My ebike new and 24kg struggling to adjust from my old steed manual bike. But getting old need an ebike lol.
This climb to black section at the beginning of the video i do with my 8 years old kid on hardtails and we don't even notice we climbed it 😂😂😂 and you on e-power shit can't keep up 😂😂😂😂😂 e-shite owners are really pathetic. Jesus Christ!
on the soft microfiber bag the bit you said was a hand hold is actually the top of the second compartment designed to hold a second lens! I just got some of these but with the prizm road lens and the low light lens and so far I am very impressed! thanks for the good review.
I know that this is 2 years old now but the timing is perfect for me. I want to buy a new chest/back protector for bmx racing and was thinking about the TLD 7850 that you had and reviewed before. However, I'm also looking at this very model and the TLD equivalent, the Rockfight CE flex which also has a D30 back pad. Decisions, decisions!! Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for the review. 👍
Fantastic video! I haven't done the black runs yet, have done the reds twice and absolutely love K-Line! (I have to admit other than cocking about on BMXs back in the 80s I have no skill at all!) Subscribed :)
Just got a pair. My trusty 2014 mid Imapacts with lace cover and padded inside ankle pads are still my go to pair. But with some trail building out in the bush I wanted some GTX and higher coverage. These would be perfect with D30 impact pads on inside over ankle bone...
I know I'm a year or two late to this party but still wondering if you think the TLD 7850 would be sufficient protection for a bike park? Would appreciate your opinion. Thanks for posting the review.
I have not been down there in about 17 years. This takes me back. At 12:21 when you go between those trees, go airborne and land on the roots, I remember my mate behind me fell as he landed and hit the tree on the left just after and split a chunk out of his helmet, when I went back to see him he was cross eyed. So he went to the hospital and was ok.
Hello Mate, hope you’re keeping well as you haven’t uploaded in a while. Have just watched this one again. Am in Innerleithen until Friday riding. Are you about?
Hey Mark. How’s things?? I had to quit riding, after breaking my shoulder last summer. Nevee healed properly and was too worried about doing it again. I don’t get paid while off work so didn’t want to take the chance. Have a good one though🤙🏴
@@trailsfromthedarkside6460 Bloody hell. Sorry to hear that Mate. Hope things are getting better for you. Hopefully you’ll get back on the bike at some point Mate
Hi mate great review, I am about 165cm but I am not sure to go for an adult s/m or a youth size. I do want it to last but then I don’t want it to be too big
There's a whole lot of 'ooshting' going on 😂 Great video, I'll hopefully do the route when I have a week off work in the next fortnight. It's not too far
Cool. Its a bit different now since this video. Lots of felling been done. Check out some off the newer Ae vids on the channel. Thanks for watching. Ride Safe. 🤙🏴
Its the best l’ve used. Super light. If you wear it outside the jersey its easy to take off if needed. Its really comfy as well. Hope that helps. 🤙🏴
@@trailsfromthedarkside6460 bought this last week for a trip to inners. Didn't wear it for the "warm up" trails. Crashed, brushed ribs, kidney & a knackered shoulder 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
I'm ready to buy a pair of these from your great review do think the carbon fiber is the best looking? 🤔 I've seen them in navy blue and carbon they are the only 2 colours left in stock
I like the carbon. It’s kinda low key from a distance but cool up close. Blacks always a go to colour. Thanks for the support. Enjoy your new glasses. I still wear mine every time l’m out, two years later. Ride Safe dude. 🤙🏴
