Welcome to the BAKING BIKER. I love to bake and I love riding my motorcycle with my husband Rick. I've been sharing my recipes and my motorcycle videos on my SCONE BAKING AND BEYOND RU-vid channel, where I have subscribers for both baking and motorcycling. Now that I bought a new 2019 TRIUMPH TIGER 800 XRx LOW, I decided it's time to start a new motorcycle RU-vid channel.
I hope you enjoy our motorcycle adventures.
You can still watch my baking videos on Scone Baking and Beyond. ru-vid.com/show-UCLAaZd8OrLWqluTwBgKwInQ
Hi Baking Biker, thank you for making this video because I will ride with my friends to Winthrop and Diablo Lake area. The scenic drive and mountains are beautiful! Your video quality and editing are great, I like it! Have a nice day.
Thanks for taking us along on the colorful autumn ride. I sold my last bike (Bonneville) when I stopped riding 7 years ago at age 65, but still miss it - especially every springtime, like right now in May. Ken in Bellingham, WA.
About Consuegra windmills, pls take a look at Miguel de Cervantes writer. His masterpiece is tightly related with those. Looking forward to see your videos at Portugal (I'm portuguese ST1300 owner😉😆)
I really enjoy your channel! Thanks for all the great videos. I ride the same bike as your husband and wondered what handle bars he has installed? They don't look like stock and seem to have him sitting more upright than I am with my stock bars.
He put on a Wunderlich handle bar with Heli bar risers (the Heli bar risers are for the R1200R not the RS). It required re-routing the clutch hose behind the triple clamp. I hope this helps.
you are truly number 1!! both for the excellent work carried out and for publishing this fundamental video for all of us who love to do the work independently. Thanks from Italy
I’ve had my 2016 R1200RS from new. I too find my ESA rear shock too bouncy in ROAD mode especially two up. As the miles have risen DYNAMIC seems to have become less firm and I now use it all the time. Thank you for your fork video. I plan on doing mine. I’m also thinking of renewing the seals while I’m at it at 44,000 miles. Does the lhs leg come apart the same as the rhs one? Peter
This is my first comment from Japan. Thank you for showing me the scenery of a foreign country for one year. I'm looking forward to seeing your touring videos next year. Have a great new year !
What time of year was your tour and which IMTBike Tour was this? Thanks for sharing. A few years back I actually rode from Spain to Portugal along Door River on bicycle. I always said to myself someday I'll come back and do it on motorcycle. Some great twisty roads.
We took the tour in mid-late April. It was the Portugal & Central Spain Motorcycle Tour Land of Conquistadors. I highly recommend taking an IMTBike tour. We plan to take another next spring. Here's a link to their website: www.imtbike.com/
Great video. Curious how your experience was flying with multiple stops from U.S. to Madrid. Any issues with checked luggage and all the bike gear? Anything get lost or delayed? Did you carry helmets with you or in checkin bag? I am in Wash./DC area and surprise I cannot get a direct flight to either Madrid or Malaga.
Since we live in the Seattle area, there aren't any direct flights to Spain. My husband and I are both skiers so we used our ski boot bags for all our motorcycle gear, including our helmets. We used the padding from our jackets and pants to pad the helmet. Those bags were checked in. We didn't have any problems with our checked luggage. We flew British Airways with a 3 hour layover in London Heathrow. I always plan a 3-4 hour layover at Heathrow in case there are any delays with our flight, and the time to go through passport control, customs, and terminal changes. There aren't any direct flights to Spain from Sea-Tac Airport. I'm surprised you can't find a direct flight to Madrid from the east coast. If you go, have a great trip. Motorcycling in Spain and Portugal was beautiful and fun. Most drivers are motorcycle friendly. Here's a link to IMTBike's website: www.imtbike.com/
We traveled with IMT bike on a self guided tour of Northern Spain. It was quite an adventure. My wife and I rode our own motorcycle which we had shipped from Canada. We had been riding in Europe for nearly eight weeks when we arrived in Spain to meet some friends who had come over from Canada. The friends rented motorcycles from IMT bikes. We rode from Barcelona to Northern Spain via the Pyrenees. What an adventure. I hope your trip went well.
Just starting to watch your Spain videos. I watched lots of your other videos they are really good you guys do a great job 👍🏻 what happened to your eye?
so let me get this straight you have to make a reservation to use a state highway just because it goes through a national park what is a person to do if you do not have a reservation
The reservations are only on busy times of the year. If you don’t have a reservation, you have to take an alternate route. Our National Parks are getting so crowded with tourists that there are traffic jams and not enough parking available, so they now have to limit the amount of vehicles entering. Check with each National Park for their entry requirements.
Thank you, though we miss skiing with you at Sun Valley. Once I finally finish our Colorado adventures, we have already made a 2 week motorcycle trip abroad and will be posting that hopefully next month.
Wow, thanks so much for posting this. Hard enough to change the oil, way harder to try to film and get all the lighting and processes right, so thanks for going to all the trouble. Has to be said, Kathy steals the show! What a smiling face, keep your lupin blue RS (like mine) but more important, keep her! Any video you do, she needs a cameo!
Hai dimenticato la cosa più importante: Il mono originale SI PUÒ REVISIONARE! Inutile spendere un sacco di soldi per niente! E si revisiona senza fare fori ne aggiungere valvole strane!
I watched all 10 videos what beautiful country. I’m from Canada. I usually do a 10 to 15 day motorcycle trip every year. After watching your videos I can’t wait to get on the road. I just found your channel today I will be watching all your videos. You do a great job editing your videos. you gays stay safe 👍🏻
Very nice. Beautiful. I can't wait to get back out there. The Black Canyon is usually not crowded and makes for a pleasant no stress day! We have the Lifetime "Old Folks" Park Pass. Absolutely the best money I've spent when it comes to travel. We've made three trips "out west" and have saved many hundreds in entry fees. Thanks for the ride along and Happy Trails!
________ Thanks for your video! I had the oil changed at the service and the fork became very stiff ... I was filled with oil with a viscosity of 7.5W. I noticed that you used 10W, is this a requirement in the instructions? You have a very nice and cheerful assistant ;-) Greetings from Kiev.
Yes, BMW specifies 10W fork oil, which typically has a higher viscosity than 7.5W fork oil. I'm not sure what made the fork feel stiff, but maybe because you used a different brand of fork oil. Sorry I couldn't become more helpful.
