Ghosts BBC Series 1-3 and the first Christmas episode were by faaaar the BEST!!! It is still funny, but went downhill a bit after that and especially after Mary was, eeeehhmm, "sucked off." Good the 6 "idiots" decided to wrap things up nicely w/Allison, Mike & their new baby daughter whilst still on a semi high note before the show grows tiresome and begins to go stale.
@@amystuckey5900 You can say "No!!!" all you like. But my statement is correct. The last couple of years of Ghosts (British) have not been near as funny, clever or witty as the first three..Still good, but not great. And I have seen plenty of reviews online reiterating this: The first 3 series and and the first Christmas episode, w/Mike's family, were far and away the best. "Vintage Ghosts" I have seen those episodes described and referred to as by critics. It was getting stale, and they knew it, so the "six idiots" closed up shop. Simon Farnaby is highly sought after now in Hollywood and is moving on past his Horrible Histories days, Yonderland, Will, and Ghosts to bigger and better things across the pond. Mathew Baynton will probably become a big Hollywood movie star after his great work in the stellar musical Wonka movie. The other four, who knows? Ben Willbond is getting older now, (mid-50's-ish I'd say) and probably just wants to retire and take it easy now with a well-deserved rest with his wife or husband and children, if he has any.

I love all the characters, but I did find I'd think of a line Mary would say in the episodes after if she were still there. Would she have been in on the April Fool's joke? If she was, Alison would fool her with the woodworm men returning, lol, or if she didn't go along with the joke, she'd come up with devilish plans with Humphrey to fool the others!
@@moqueen1Throughout the episode, Mike and Alison are planning to get a golf course installed and they bring an expert along but she's French so she brought an interpreter. Mike learned French but because the interpreter translates literally everything, it gets confusing. Humphrey finds out Robin speaks French fluently because he listened to Sophie and to get a bit closer to his wife, Humphrey wants to learn a bit of French too. Mike and the French expert share a drink, but she's allergic to nuts and the interpreter is somewhere else and while trying to find the epipen(or something like that), Robin makes Humphrey translate what she said and because he did it succesfully, Alison and Mike manage to save the expert's life. That's why he thanks Sophie
