This couldn't have been a better topic today! OVer the weekend, I was contemplating if I like change or not. I, too, used to think I was a big fan of change. Afterall, routine and the same-old same-old are totally coul crushing for me. LOL. But I think I'm leaning less toward anything goes and more these days toward "intentional" change...then sticking to it. :)

I totally get the message, Karen! I would say though that your grandkids or a neighbor kid would be excited to pull all of the staples out of the stairs (been there done that... Not just the stairs but the living room and hallways) for $25/$50 (depending on their age... The older the more expensive 🤣🤣🤣).
Growing up in California I never understood the need for a coat "wardrobe" - but here in MN (and Montana) we certainly need all the options! Have a great day! 🥰

Karen! Are you in England? Driver is on other side of car. Maybe its the reverse effect in mirror! I may connect with you to discuss change for older, old people...like moms with increasing dementia we care for. Every night, for YEARS, mom grocery to have her coffee, smoke a cig and see a friend or two. But, friends are gone now, patio is closed up mostly and area is a bit dangerous. Found her a new cool spot she could walk to. NOPE! Has got to go to same place. Yours truly, concerned son John

Love this! This Labor Day week end, I am seeing the mess get worse before it gets better, just like your story! My helpers (ages 9 and 10) and I are making a boys' cave downstairs....gaming area, homework area, and sleeping area. Of course, the girls' area upstairs gets the next remake.....it's MY house, but it's THEIR space, so am having to take into account what they want -- listening to the TEAM can be challenging! Looking forward to the result and expecting to continue to tweak the finished space..... and yes, one of my helpers has hacked my google account and changed the profile picture - LOL!
