A simple, practical and economical barn. Good shelter for fattening calves (moderate weather). A novice farmer needs every cent for his venture. Size and capacity are not recorded, usually an area (3.5 ) square meters per calf.
I don’t really know exactly what your asking but their is pit fans the so called basement and if there were any gasses they would get blown out with the air moving through the barn
I know it’s a year later but they won’t freeze because those water fountains are automatic so everyone a cow takes a drink it refills the trough back to plum full, as many cows as are in their they water doesn’t have anything to sit hardly because it’s moving to the water tanks so it doesn’t have time to freeze I hope that made sense
for your place to be such an expensive and upgraded place .. its really a damn shame that the cattle have to be around the filth in it ... your place is VERY filthy ... and u choose to show it on the net ... what a damn disgrace ...
Looks pretty clean to me. Have you ever been around a dairy farm??? The parlors are clean but around here the rest is pretty filthy and their cows look like they have it pretty good!!!
Excellent video recap showing how easy it is to deploy a Geosynthetic Clay Liner. Nice compacted subgrade. Your liner, any liner, is only as good as the subgrade its resting on.
Too many cows and they are so dirty. They can’t get out to really get fresh air and walk around. Do you keep them Bunched up up just to eat and gain weight?
I have been thinking about a Pitted Barn, just considering whether it should be a All Steel Building or a Wood Truss Building similar to a Summit. Also considering if it should be a Monoslope Style or a Conventional Style Building similar to this Building. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bFxh4JE_z0c.html
Only thing i see wrong is the drive alley should have been the width of truck and mixer or tractor and mixer , not necessarily have to be concrete but reclaimed asphalt would do
Nice barn. I'd add a 15' apron at the entrance doors and maybe would have sided it on one side with translucent siding instead of the red to gain more interior lights.
