Good video man, I’ve just picked up outcast 6s exb on Facebook market place for 400£ in good condition wasn’t advertised had to ask the rc shop he had one hidden there was a few others but didn’t like the look of them seemed to be bashed a little too hard

I really want one of these for the collection. Probably a shelf queen too. I'd go hobbywing max10 sct combo. Cheapish and cheerful. Colour code the turnbuckles with centre driveshaft shock caps and chassis brace. Rpm front bulkhead to protect the servo. Maybe sway bars. Keep the stock pinion set up but you would need to change it a 5mm bore to fit the hobbywing motor. You'll also need a steel drive hub to fit the aluminium centre driveshaft
Nice car & very cool, I have the regular Traxxas Rally and I went with the Traxxas VXL system and that is more than enough, had to upgrade grade the power train but it's a blast!!! Very fun cars 💯
I am transforming my old outcast 6s into an EXB... The old outcast didn't even have a center brace either. I'm almost done, just need shock towers now.
With stock spur and motor mount the biggest you can run is a 18t pinion. The stock shocks desperately need stiffer springs... 3.0mm wire thickness in the front 3.2mm in the rear seems to be optimal with stock weight distribution. Use thicker oil with the stiffer springs (don't remember which is recommended) 300k cst oil in front and rear diffs and 500k in the center. Steering servo, cheapest option is to switch to dual servo and buy a used 2nd stock servo (sometimes as cheap as 10$ for a practically new one that has been replaced by the owner with a stronger one) running a Y-splitter servo cable. Check the CVD pins, the grub screw holding them in place tend to become loose and the pins pull themselves out and eat the hub carriers. There's a hose clamp mod some people use to counter this issue... try looking it up, can save you a lot if headaches. If you like to jump that pig, the front top plate likes to crack... I recommend replacing it with the aluminum upgrade as soon as it breaks. The motor is probably a bit on the high KV-Scale... so running a 18t on 8S is a bit... mad. Completely stock the Dibby will push nearly 70 mph on a 18t pinion, and that is half the rpm of what your combo is capable of. I'm interested to see how it will perform. Have fun!
