To all my subscribers... I've changed my channel name to "Pushing it Downrange" I recently got hacked and all my videos got deleted. RU-vid claims wasn't them. So I'm taking the opportunity to maybe edit some of them before I repost. Stay tuned.
I have Two P17's which I purchased two years ago and I have over 1000 rounds in each without any type of failures, using CCI Mini Mags, Argilo and Remington Golden Bullets! Having said this, I recently purchased 1000 rounds of Winchester Xpert 22 LR, 42 GR, plated Hollow Point, 1320 FPS. Seemed like a great deal for only .09 Cents per Round. Yes, for the first time I was getting many FTE with these bullets in both of my P17's and the casings would get stuck in the chamber and I had to use a rod to push them out! I will only use these Rounds at the range but it is very annoying! I do carry my P17 as my EDC every day. either in a pocket holster or in an outside the waist leather holster. I will only use 40 Grain CCI Mini Mags for my Carry gun because I have had NO Failures with this ammo! Good Luck!
I have a Maverick 88 shotgun, it's a great weapon, it's flawless and I love it, but the million dollar question is: Can these shotgun stops a Grizzly bear?? I live in Alaska, bear territory, I go very often to the woods, I go for camping, fishing, hiking and hunting, and every time I'm in the woods I load my Maverick 88 shotgun with slugs; I just want to make sure it'd stop a grizzly bear, if some of the readers can answer my question, I'll appreciate it. Greetings from Anchorage Alaska USA, your friend, Dr. Duarte.
I was only on the wait list for about two weeks before I got the restock email. Purchased and found a Gold Star Dealer who is only about15 minutes away. Not a bad deal overall.
Thanks for the video. I like your bingo dobber roll crimp. You know how many times I find older shells in my kit and can't remember that they are. Would save sitting there with a strong flashlight behind it. Lol
If you have the high velocity buffer piece in it, you need high velocity shells. I found that out the hard way, cuz I got mine from my favorite pawn shop, The Silver Dollar, in roswell, and it didn't come with it, didn't find out until I tried it at a range and the guy behind the counter diagnosed why it was jamming.
This BP12 is a Gen-1 and did not come with any piston options. Just as well, because if you watch my other videos on this BP12 you will see that it broke in just fine and has become one of my favorite semi auto shotguns. PANZER ARMS issued the gen2 and eventually ruined the series by over tightening the gas block and castle nut in order to keep people from servicing their own firearm. Hope you have as good luck with yours.
Replacing the polymer guide rod with a steel one was one of the better alterations that I made. You can see that it clearly fixed the "flex" issue that bothered me so much. Was it a game changer issue fixer? Probably not since I never had any direct issues with it, but then again I replaced it very early on and never looked back. Such an easy thing to do for me it was a no-brainer.
You are right about that. I also found very little review info on the MAC2. I really should do one on it. Actually I purchased it and the DERYA LION X6 at the same time and that would make an interesting comparison review because they are a prime example of the 2 types of recoil action semi auto shotguns. The DERYA is as gas operated system while the MAC2 is an inertia drive system. You may have noticed my reaction when I switched from the DERYA to the MAC2. Even though my shoulder was definitely getting sore it seemed the MAC2 might have some more felt recoil than the DERYA. The MAC2 is basicly a Benelli M2 clone which is good for parts and accessories. I need to shoot them both some more and gather more footage and data in order to do that review. I'm getting to a very busy time of year for me and I hope I can squeeze it in, but because you asked I'll do it... someday soon. Thanks for the comment.
I used a standard wood burning tool with a round or blunt tip. You can also use a soldering tool that comes with various tips and get different textures.
i was thnking of getting this spx as well do you think with the pic rail on top would it be able to fit the crimson trace laser saddle as well?Have you seen it?Fits on the right side of the gun .
It looks like the LS-250G Lasersaddle will fit the SPX. images.app.goo.gl/mm1zDymBXAiwYLCr9 It's $220. It has the really small dot and as I said at any distance it's very hard to see. Still highly recommend the UTG bulldot laser instead.
@@ITZGR82BFREE I will check that out, thank you.As far as the opsol rubber adapter i have heard that you can only use minishells with it in, and the defender tactical adapter you can shoot minis as well as 2 3/4 or 3 inch, but hang on!
@@speedwayman100 I think that's right about the OpSol vs defender. I have both but I haven't gotten around to putting it in the SPX. If the defender runs all then that's the way to go for sure.
@@stoneageartworks9950 same here and that's just what i've heard and when i get a message from mossberg about the heat shield i'll let you know what they say!
People who own one will tell you that the SPX heat shield is spot welded in 4 places and cannot be removed. Like I said I wish it was so next time you talk to Mossberg ask them how to remove it, because that would be awesome to be able to clean behind it more easily. And let me know.
RU-vid kinda frowns opon posting links to gun related merchandise... not that I care. A lot of what I use can be found on AMAZON or EBAY. I also usually post a credit to the manufacturers of products and anyone E-savy knows how to search for things. If there's something I want or need I search it out. The hand stop that I made for the SHOCKWAVE is a prototype and will only fit the STREAMLIGHT model that has the strap. I have a mold for that and I can make a few more. Thanx for the comment.
LOOKS NICE BUT I'M NOT PUTTING PVC PIPE IN MY RIFLE SHOTGUN, HELL NO, MODIFICATIONS ARE RETARDED, ACCESSORIES ARE COOL, THERE'S A REASON THE MOSSBERG CAME STOCK, USE IT THE WAY IT WAS MANUFACTURED
Were you ever able to get a friend to print some triggers? That paddle seems very interesting to me. Thx for the videos! I received my PX4 a couple of days ago and am slowly starting to order mod parts. I was considering removing my decocker and slightly grinding it down to save a few bucks... any thoughts? Thx again
I was advised that the trigger connecting parts would probably not withstand the rigors necessary if it were printed, so no. This seems to be a one off but I still like it. Altering factory parts to your own specifications sounds like something I would do. If you don't mind any cosmetic issues and you are comfortable doing things like that I'd say it's worth a try. You can always fall back on a new part. I know you are going to enjoy your PX4. Thanx for the comment.
Sorry, I missed your comment earlier for some reason, but thanks. I think the PX4 will always be my go to standard in pistol shooting because it is such a uniquely smooth shooter. All PX4 owners know of what I speak. SAVY?
Yes, I had a couple of boxes of them and they work just fine. Only problem is any shorty ammo is hard to come by and they are not cheap ... all the more reason to make your own. Be sure to check out my videos on doing "HOBO" loads. Easiest and cheapest way to get what you need. Thanx
