Just found about this. This is super disappointing on Maxon's end. I'm a small pedal builder myself and have always recommended Power-All supplies to my customers whenever I can. I look forward to see what new things you come up with.

I have the Apex808 and in this comparison I kinda prefer the wooliness of the Apex over the Chem Z? Both pedals sound great and it is just a matter of taste and what you are looking for in a OD pedal \m/

In short, yes, but the resetting happens quick enough that you probably won't notice it. What it won't do is leslie-type ramp up and down: if you've ever used a boss effect with tap tempo, I'd say that's closer. - Ed Z.
Bass distortions are always better in my opinion, because of the dry signal blend: it gives more punch to the overall sound. Btw I heard Buzz from the Melvins used a boss bass overdrive in live sets, the clean signal blended in is the only way to really keep some intelligibility in all that noise. Love this krytical mass pedal.
I love it. Kevin, you've become quite the showman since our meager beginnings with that fist Killswitch Engage video in NYC. This is how you do it in 2024...no different than in 2010. Demo the product. Thank you Aaron Miller for leading the way.
If by 'annoying' you mean AWESOME, then you're correct. The LEDs look awesome, however have ZERO impact on the sound of the pedal. If you don't dig the oscillating LEDs, there are actually TWO Modes: 1) LED’s light in a cyclic pattern (like in the video). The RATE of this cycling pattern is controlled by a trim pot accessible via the back of the pedal (remove backplate to access). 2) All LED’s in display light when pedal is engaged & remain lit until pedal is bypassed. Kinda like a "normal" pedal would work... We also understand not having a 'Light Show' on your pedalboard can have it's benefits.
Unfortunately our longtime partnership with Maxon dissolved a few years ago (see our full video on that). Since we were the ones behind the "Custom Shop" it had to be closed down since we could no longer get Maxon pedals to modify. HOWEVER, we've still continued our long relationship with Mr. Tamura and this pedal has become the TWA SH9 Scott Henderson signature Distortion.
