Synthesizer NZ is New Zealand's first dedicated modular synthesizer store. We are passionate about synthesizers, especially those that are modular. There is nothing that we'd rather do than noodling, wiggling and creating a maybe amazing patch.
With the community in mind we have started Synthesizer New Zealand. By selling hundreds of modules to customers around the world the we were able to create a community for people to gather and share knowledge which has always been the main reason to start the store. Our community platform was born and named the Sine Synthesizer Community.
I own 3 modular moogs and the soma Pulsar. I like this Shuttle. I also consider erica synth fusion system - but the Shuttle looks more Professional. I own ghost and golden master- I like the quality.
Weakest point of this synth tbh. Can't even change the LFO shape or phase because it's in the menus and DB-01 needs to stay in keyboard mode for external midi playback.
Hi Twiglet! Not long at all to be honest the interface is very intuitive and the menu diving that is there is pretty straight forward. The unit is built in such a way that it has its limitations which is a good thing because this means you can actually get to know the unit relatively quickly. Hope all is well in the UK! Nice demo thanks.Just bought the LXR-02 to go with it - wish the DB-01 had a headphone socket so i use a headphone amp which is a bit of a faff.Always nice to see new content for fresh inspiration.
Love the DB-01 and appreciate your videos. Nicely shot. This 'meeting' video was really interesting and useful. The text guide to explain what your doing as you go along is great. Hopefully you will consider doing some more tutorial videos along these lines. Do you share your videos in any of the FB groups? Maybe some longer tutorials would see more views. So that was a bit useless if you're trying to sell product. Most Eurorack usets know what a resonance control is. The filter being able to work at audio and lower rates is a nice feature. You might have wanted to explain that or possibily some of the less common filter modrs available. There are lots of other sales worthy features on it to boot. You can do better.
Totally agree @iamyila and I’m not aware of an option to actually set a different default note, it is pretty easy to tweak though especially using the built in scales. What I did notice is that a C3 is pretty ‘consistent’ on the machine where lower notes sometimes are not due to the modulation you put on them. This might be the reason for choosing a C3.
Hi Stephen, not overkill however there is a dressed down version (without the effects, sidechain ducking and compressor) which is the Endorphines Squawk Dirty which gives you 8 stereo filter options and an internal VCA. Pretty amazing, however Ghost packs more features and is an amazing end of chain module.
