It doesn't make any sense to sew it on the right side of the fabric, then sew it on the wrong side. Why not just sew it on the wrong side to begin with. If you're trying to make it stronger, go over it twice. For such a simple project that a child can do. you're making more work than it needs to be.
It's called a French seam and prevents the edges from unraveling. And I agree, you're rude and should probably stfu when you don't know what you're talking about.
