Eliye Springs and Lake Turkana really sums it up, it's a trip worth making especially with a Beetle.... Amazing Video, the bug remains a gem, very strong engine. Good Stuff
Point of correction bro about Sachang'wan. The cause of fire was not battery disconnection but rather a drunk guy who was arrested by GSU officers and handcuffed on the trailer so the guy decided to have some smoke and immediately he lit the matchstick it was a blaze like something from a movie scene. I had a friend there who was so close to the scene, was saved by a whisk. An unforgettable scene that plays in his mind wheneva I pass by the place because it took long before even grass could grow by the roadside and the trees one would mistake for black paint.
Nice video with the bmw. There was a wireless charger you were using on the Lake Turkana Trip. I'd like to know which type it is because I want one for myself.
nilidhani from nairobi southern bypass to nyali. BTW how is the visibility at night, are you overwhelmed by bright lights from on-coming vehicles or you perfomed headlight upgrades?
@@Xxpat funny enough the old style headlights are so good..maybe if i should just just add some foglights. Unfortunately i lost all the footage from Nairobi😂
There is something magical about getting an old Beetle and heading out on an adventure. I loved the fact that you just went and found fixes and solutions to the problems you had along the way. This is my favorite RU-vid video of 2024!
Man...im impresssed..you inspire us...i had a Fiat that attempted to drive From Nairobi to Kitale...nikuingiza baridi pale kinungi nikarudi...but Thanks for the video brother
Did it end up having any problems while going? these oldies can suprise u, just give it fuel and dont be hard on it. it will get there😀😀 ihope u liked the video, subscribe and i will appreciate big time. more content coming..
Did I say you are great...? You are mad! That was great, and quite a risky adventure, especially the trip to Eliye Springs. I think your driving skills and auto mechanics knowledge did you gud. Look forward to more content from you. For improvement, it would probably be better if you showed us abit of inside of the towns and centers, such as kpenguria, kainuk, and also some description of the key places and landmarks.
crossing the rocky mountains a few times in mine. its 35mph up hill for me and close to a 100 mph down on the highway. they are slow up hill for sure. but I have the freeway flyer transmission in mine so on the flats she crusies 70 mph with no issues in 4th gear
Woow niice, must be interesting..I enjoy trips with mine. Just wondering how you get to 100mph..you must have a good ratio gearbox...mine at 75mph the engine screams like crazy🤣🤣.
The Rocky Mountains in the United states are very large and there is a highway over them so for miles your going downhill and can pick up much speed. but a bug at 100 is scary also
I remember a s a kid back in the 80s doing this journey with my parents in a beetle and also a Datsun 120y...no mobile phone or internet in those days...ulikuwa unaenda na mungu tu 😂
Thanks man..well, unfortunately i lost some of the footage but i'll try to share some especially the kamatira hillclimb..i hope you subscribed for more😊🙏
