"how to install geo-scatter in blender 4.2" this would be a great title for a video tutorial. instead, here i am trying to decipher and already somewhat tedious install process under the best of conditions. having said all this, this is a great addon and worth the money i paid and the hassle.
Hey, no matter how many times i download the zipped file.. its broken and wont unzip and i tried it on more than 1 computer.. can anyone upload a google drive link with the unzipped file please ? thank you
I installed Blender 3.6 to use it, because Biome Reader wasn't still updated for newer versions. When I try to scatter a plane using a biome, it loads in but nothing appears on the plane. What am I doing wrong? I followed every step, the plane is selected, biome in on the Systems list but there is no grass anywhere...
thank you so much for this resource!!! I downloaded the Plant Library and the asset library is working, except some of the plant assets have black textures along the edges - maybe an issue with UV mapping? Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?
the Biome Reader addon (the free one) refuses to work without the Geo Scatter (the paid one) 6:38 when i try to add a biome it just says that GeoScatter is missing in my addons, how can i make it work with the BiomeReader, i doubt the addon exists for free only to later on tell us that it wont work unless we buy the premium one first
blender and its plug in are making things difficult.. one should have directly install it and have an option of add on library on side scroll bar as modifiers are
I had a hard time finding this video. It contains all the information I was missing about using multiple surfaces with one centralized emitter object. Thanks for this clear explanation, probably you could make this video more easy to find ^^
i downloaded plant library and such.. got the .blend file that opens and you can see plants.. then for some reason.. no matter how i try to link it.. through preferences to a new file.. the new file never shows the assets in the asset library. (but in the preferences window it shows it is installed as an asset library)
Hello BD3D, Does ScatterPro biome come with GeoScatter or do you get that biome from the marketplace? and does GeoScatter have any default biomes pre-installed? Thanks
The main problem of this scatter and maybe any other scatters for blender is that you can't see interactive render result and working with proxy view of scatter at the same time in another viewport. Because, when you push interactive render button, it renders all other active blender viewports, and especially the viewport where you're working with proxy display of scatters that are very slowing down and lagging during render time. For instance, as any other software provides like Cinema4D, Maya or 3Dsmax. Will it be possible to have this in the near future update or it should be done from Blender devs?
