I love that you, as a male, have developed a passion for sewing, quilting and patchwork. I taught sewing for 30 + years to high school students, male and female. Often the males developed better skills than the females, but unfortunately, they did not follow through and continue sewing. Peer pressure? Anyway, as I said I love that you have taken to it wholeheartedly and show your love of the craft through your videos. Great job!

Rob, thank you very much for the instructions. Don't know if I'll ever get around to it. I'm 76 and have lots of scraps from sewing. Bought a braided oval rug in the 60's and wore it out. The prices nowadays are so ridiculous and so are the cleaning prices. Maybe i can at least get the fabric and rope done and someone can help me eventually with the sewing. Just subscribed. Hope i find many tips going thru your videos. 👍🏻

Why not a 1/4” foot that has a built in seam guide??

Do you use double-sided tape for your zippers? And if you do and mistakenly get a bit inside the machine, how do you get it out?

Wow! As a beginner I’m trying to absorb all that I can. Blew me away that the seam size can be affected by the thread weight, size and fabric. Blew me away. It makes a lot of sense. So much sense. Thank you for sharing.

How do you keep stripes from curving as you add more?

That happened to me. My husband bought me a straight stitch machine as a gift and it was great with piecing but horrible with free motion. I will get the right needle. Thanks!
