Excellent, this is one of the rides I want to take when I'm out there in September. Matewan to Man not that the trails will be the same but knowing one route is great. Did you stop at the Rock house trailhead? Good to know it's about 1.5 hours from one point to the next.
Great video! The main trail you ran, was that also a Jeep-4x4 trail? It was quite wide. Also didn’t see others on the trail was it week day or weekend?
We love devils backbone resort! We usually do the long ride to Mann for Keith’s bar and Williamson for starters! Might be interested in going to trailhead bar so we can sleep in one morning! How was trailhead bar?
Never got the chance to try it out. This was our first time and everyday was used up for riding. Didn't leave any extra energy for around the resort. Will be going back at some point and will hope to try places to eat and drink.
All these trailers, you guys just took that I seen I could just took-my truck through there. this look like regular trails that I used to ride in my truck when I was a kid why do I need an ATV or side-by-side? Sounds like a waste of money.
We took the main trail on this ride. It is very large. The area had tons of smaller tighter trails that branch off of the main lines. I am hoping to try more of them out when I go back.
@@sledhead43 yeah I hear yeah I still take those small trails with my truck witch makes them larger it’s fun , I just saw know reason to buy a off road vehicle when I have a truck we’ve always used are trucks jeeps or motorcycles since I was fourteen or fifteen now I’m sixty and use my truck. Just build them to suit the terrain..
Most of the trails are sand. Depending on the trail section some sections are fairly deep sand. Two wheel cars and trucks could get in trouble. As long as you're on a ORV ROUTE you don't need stickers just license plates and insurance for cars and trucks. ORV TRAILS are for 50" and narrower.. TRAILS demand an ORV PERMIT and REGISTRATION STICKERS. DNR catch you on a 50" trail with a vehicle wider than 50" $$$.00 At trail/ routes intersections will a wooden 4x4" post with images of the offroad vehicles allowed on that trail. Suggest you follow that image instruction. Stay safe.
There are a lot of logging trails south of the lake. There used to be a bar hidden in the woods that all the snowmobilers would go to during Tip Up Town. We used to run those trails in cars.
This ride was about 25miles on video. We had about another 10-15 miles that the gopro was dead for. Started at the campground in st helen. I believe there are hotels in town. Was my first time.
