I’m trying to do this with a 2003 mustang gt but it’s a 5 speed manual transmission would the engine bolt on to it or would I have to buy a different transmission
@@Camshaft6770 the bell 407 sounds just like an OH-58D Kiowa which when I left Fort Bragg I’d see the Delta model Kiowas fly over 5-10 at a time. I sure do miss those helicopters. That’s probably why I love seeing Jim Gardner with this 407.
The one I caught is Megatibicen Resh. Yes there are Neotibicen Superbus and Neotibicen Pruinosus calling in the background. There are not even any Neotibicen Robinsonianus calling in the background. Robinsonianus is one of the hardest to capture here.
Next time I’m going to try and save for the Cobra ride. If I have enough definitely try and ride a Huey again. Hopefully I will have a go pro or something. My 70-300mm lens was too big
Quick question I’m finna buy a 4v out of a 98 an one of my friends say that it wouldn’t fit in a mustang because it’s front wheel drive so I gotta ask will it obviously it’s in yours but just be sure?
Gotta make sure it’s either a ‘98 cobra or a ‘98 Lincoln mark viii. They do have a front wheel drive 4v v8 that ford made for the Lincoln continental. Be sure it is a 4v from either the cobra or mark viii and make sure it’s at least 1998+
Hey my 2003 mustang gt transmission connector will not connect to my 1998 mark viii transmission wiring connector is there some kind of adapter that goes between them to make them connect together
What do I need need or need to do for a 1998 mark 8 engine swap on a 2000 gt? And can I still use the same 5 speed transmission? Or use the mark 8 transmission?
Use the GT transmission. There’s quite a few miscellaneous things you’ll need for the swap. I did my entire swap for less than $1k. Probably around $750ish.
@@derekgibson5967 What motor mount did you use? And did you used the same computer for the mustang? And from which car did you use for the wire harness?
@@sdelarosa080 you gotta use the motor mounts from the GT. The GT computer and the GT wiring harness but you have to extend some of the wires. AND you have to swap polarity for the COPs (ignition coils)
My mark Viii swap is completed but bro I cannot find that intake piece that goes from the throttle to the cold air intake.. that rubber from on 3. Can you link me by any chance? Thank you
They have delete plates but they’re like $150-$200 or you can do what I did and take a piece of wire hanger and make them permanently open. On the back side there’s little prongs that you put the hanger on and there’s a prong on the motor to put it to. You’ll see it when you have the motor.
@@derekgibson5967 ok thanks I have the entire 98 Mark 8 engine I removed myself from the car kept the Mark 8 engine harness too. So besides the irmc plastes Mod, i guess invert all coil wires N alternator too. I got fuel rails from a 99 cobra. Getting 96 cobra manifolds the rest should be plug N play? What about MAF because Mark 8 has 24lb injectors
@@josesanin8077 yes invert wires. Some say invert alternator too but I didn’t and it ran fine. You’ll have to extend the wires. There’s a few sensors also you’ll have to extend the wiring to.
At the beginning, if you look closely at the megatibicen dealbatus, you can see that it is singing as well. Also, congrats on catching a megatibicen dealbatus and a megatibicen pronotalis at the same time.
Thanks. Could never figure out that high pitched noise though. Pretty sure it had to do with the brake booster cap. Got the belt squeal fixed with a new belt. I sure do miss this car. Hopefully soon I’ll have another project car like this. If you have any questions contact me on FB messanger. I can give you a list of everything you’ll need for the swap AND it’s pretty simple and straightforward.
