The night I auditioned for a magician membership at the Academy of Magical Arts (Magic Castle)…Shoot Agawa was one of the judges. Just imagine the nerves performing in front of such a great sleight of hand magician!!! I did get accepted and to this day I don’t know how…I know if it was Fool Us I didn’t fool anyone. But I will forever remember his presence and the intimidation I felt having to perform in front of Shoot and other industry professionals.
While I can’t necessarily make out how he’s doing it, I know exactly when he’s doing it and that to me is a problem. His first performance in my opinion was way more stellar. He looked way more nervous and I knew every time he was up to something.
I don’t know I’ve seen them blur that line before I think this was definitely a situation where we kind of think we know how it’s done, but you did it so beautifully you get the trophy. I definitely felt awkward with him. Leaving a loser after just being called the greatest sleight-of-hand magician in the world.

This fooled me. While I have some idea how a few things were done, the overall skill shown in doing these tricks was superb. I can't imagine the amount of time it takes to develop the needed skill yo do what Shoot Ogawa did.
Shoot Ogawa is a gem of a magician. Great humble human being on top of that. Meet him twice and was flabbergasted both times. One of the greatest magician ever.
