That most likely has the Allison 2300HS transmission. It's their "Highway Series" an all around good unit but if you are going to be hauling heavy all of the time I would suggest getting an Allison 3000 series when the 2300 gets old and tired.
We had a 2006 hemi Durango. It was fast and lasted 298000 miles before we had to scrap it because it rusted out to the point it was a safety hazard. Still ran though. The only thing I didn't like about it was the electronics were garbage and it had auto 4wd engaged all the time which wasn't fun to drift with.
How "heavy duty" is the suspension? Is it too soft of a ride with the "gentle ride" suspension that U Haul specs? I'm thinking about buying a couple trucks and installing 10 foot flatbeds or dump boxes for my construction business. In the winter I would also use as plow trucks and salt spreaders.
At first yes, difficult to find insurance that was affordable. But after doing research and getting multiple quotes we found a policy that is budget friendly. You have to get a commercial vehicle tag which is no big deal it’s just like getting a tag for any other car but you do have to pay some type of road tax due to the weight of the truck. I have to pay the same road tax with my RV just because of the weight.
Hey there, I paid 2600 for the bed and it’s 26ft. I found it on FB market place. I’m working on another video with it, more in depth and I actually take it up and have it weighed.
Hey man, We used A1 Fabrications out of Dawsonville Georgia. We do plan on adding some toolboxes hanging off on the driver side of the bed to store tools and roadside emergency kits.
@@RaysGarage-dl4bq I got it straight from U-haul. I went to a location that had 20 trucks to choose from. I was there for 2 hrs looking at different trucks but when I picked this one the buying process only took about 20 minutes. its a super easy process. You can also look at the repair and maintenance records on each truck from mile 1.
Glad to find your channel. I just put a 2005 Lj in the garage. I've got a lot of work to do to mine to catch up to you. I am bone stock too. I have several issues to work through with the Jeep before I can start building. Looking forward to following along with your channel.
It handles it great, in the city and under 60mph without redearing is fine but on the highway it definitely needs the regear to 4.88 at least. but around town and 50mph it feels great! right Eric? when I drove it I loved it 😍😍😍 it's also in great shape!
