I wish I lived where it gets cold so I can rock the chestnut Silk scent all cold season. That chestnut is to die for. I’m gonna wear it anyway lol 😂 light sprays not to choke anyone out
I think you would have more subscribers if you changed the name smelly skin. Seriously it’s just not good at all. Maybe you thought the name would be catchy, I honestly find it a turn off. I swear I’m only trying to help.
@@abeattrizg I definitely think you can't go wrong with the 2021 edp version of Miss Dior! That one is ultra feminine, and very longlasting! I get compliments on that one for sure! Prada Paradoxe is also very longlasting! Either are great choices!
Not sure if you're into DUA fragrances or not (or dupes in general), but they've recently released several Dries Van Noten fragrances. I've ordered everything they've released but haven't received any yet (that's how new they are), and several are sold out. So far, they've released Raving Rose, Neon Garden, Santal Greenery, Soie Malaquois, and Fleur de Mal. If you didn't know DUA fragrances releases dupes, originals, hybrids (tri and quad-brids), as well as a luxury line. They have over 2k fragrances in their arsenal, some of which are fragrances that are vintage and/or impossible to get your hands on nowadays (either too exclusive or too expensice, etc.). Check them out! They release new fragrances everh Friday at 6pm PST and they have sales every weekend as well
I use the Westman Atlier Complexion drops but the dew can be excessive and I don’t even produce oil. New to BR and will try these next. I loathe foundation but at 46, I need a touch of something. Hopefully, I won’t need anything in a few months! Do you ever wear SPF and if so, how does the BR apply over that? I also use Tretinoin so SPF is a non-negotiable.
I have heard the WA dew drops are very dewy! I have not heard good things about the newly reformulated BR Teint, so proceed with caution! In terms of SPF, I only wear SPF if I know I'm going to be outdoors in the hot sun for hours. The old version of the BR Teint pilled on top of everything, it was too difficult to use. I have heard the new version pills really bad too... not sure whats going on!
@@smellyskin I didn’t realize BR reformulated after this video so I appreciate the heads up! While the WA is oily dewy, I will add that I get compliments on my “skin” every single time I wear it. I got chased down in Ulta by an employee wanting to know my skincare routine so it must be flattering on 40+, drier skin. It’s definitely a “look but don’t touch” formula because it will transfer to anything and everything that touches the face. I mix two drops into my Skinbetter SPF (after a base layer of SPF) and that seems to help a bit.
@@smellyskinJust circling back to let you know that I ended up purchasing the reformulation. I love it so far after a mere two applications. I apply it over my SkinBetter Science Tone Smart SPF and have no issues with pilling. Full BR routine under the SPF, of course. It was surprisingly more coverage than I anticipated (at least in shade 2C). Per my own standards, it’s more of a foundation level coverage. Stayed in place and dewy all day and it didn’t wear off by noon or separate like most skin tints do. I apparently went too fast and furious with P50V 1970 on a damp cotton pad 3x per week 😣 so I’ve been using Creme Vernix as my moisturizer which leaves a a bit of tackiness; perhaps that’s why nothing budged. I hate that I love it because it’s so damn expensive for the size. I plan to play around with it this weekend to see if I can get away with half a pump placed in strategic areas for the dew effect/coverage or mixed into a smidgen of the SkinBetter. Anyhow, thanks again for your video and original reply. I’m happy it ended up working out. It’s DEFINITELY not oily like the WA Complexion Drops and the shade match of the Serum de Teinte was identical to my neutral skin tone which never happens!
@JamiLaundry soooo glad to hear it doesn't pill! I definitely think using vernix prevents the pilling! Do you have the old amazing version or the new one?
@@smellyskin I have the new one! Karina NYC is still selling the old formula so I’m seriously considering trying that too if you love it so much. (I just didn’t want to potentially fall in love with something that I might not be available when it’s time to reorder.)
Thank you!!! The end got cut off because I edited it in IG and I guess youtube doesn't like that 😂 oh well! The full thing is on IG! I wouldn't say they're my favorite formula or colors, but I had to try them for the packaging alone 😅 how unnecessary 😂❤
Im confused. why would you expect VIP02 to change into an oil when its not the same product as Lait U? 2 different products, 2 different formulas. VIP02 is a creamy cleanser which is best for dry skin and Paris is a very polluted city, overpopulated plus everyone pretty much smokes so you have all that smoggy air hence this helps with skin that is consistently exposed to such pollutants. You said KarinaNYC so you either live or visited NY (Ive used the same spa), I would imagine you wouldnt argue that NY/NYC is a city filled with polluted air as well so cleanser geared towards such situations shouldnt surprise anyone who live in city/urban areas. TFS all the same. Of all the serums, amniotique and placenta are the best.
Loved your video and in-depth explanations of each item. I’m new to your channel because I’m new to La Mer. I was bequeathed a boatload of La Mer skincare after my best friend passed away from breast cancer (she was only 48 years old). She was my trusted go-to for all things skincare because she was a swimmer and yet her skin was flawless! You would never have known she’d spent the better part of her life in the pool and the sun because she took such great care of her skin and swore by these products. Now I’m trying to educate myself about them and maybe, in a weird way, continue her legacy? Anyway, thank you for a very informative video. I look forward to watching more of these! Also, sidebar: has anyone ever told you that you look like Meryl Streep? Uncanny!! 😊
Wow, first of all, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your best friend... that is far too young and horrible that she suffered with cancer. I love that you were bequeathed her La Mer skincare collection, and that you are continuing her legacy as you say. I hope that they work for you, as well as they did for her! It is comments like these that make filming and editing these videos all worth it! Yes, I have had many people say I look like Meryl Streep, I guess I really do, lol. Thank you again for your thoughful comment, it made my day! I hope that in time you will heal from the passing of your friend. Wishing you all the best this year and beyond! <3
I believe so, I have always used La Mer during pregnancy. You just can't use Retinol and certain acids like Salicylic I believe, but I think Glycolic is fine. But I'm not a doctor so I would suggest you do your own research on which ingredients are safe!
Hello! Thank you! I wish I could help, but unfortunately I haven't tried anything else from Valmont! I dont think they're really a brand that is for oily/acneic skin types! They're great for hydration and moisture, so drier skins! 💕
Loved seeing what items you got from the Sephora sale, and thank you for walking us through your skincare prep as well! You definitely had me sitting straighter in my chair when you talked about that Slurp Labs product. You had me chuckling when you talked about your mad concealer hunt -- I totally get the obsession and it's hard to stop until you find the perfect one! My favourite concealer right now is the Dew Drop Concealer by Surratt. It's high coverage yet SO thin, maybe even thinner than (or on par with) Sisley's! Gucci's Rosy Beige looks amazing on you as well. I think you did a good job of "duping" those Chanel blushes that you missed out on! Thanks for the fun video. It was exciting to see a new upload from you! 💕
Woohoo, new video! Love these makeup/skincare haul videos! Really flawless base and you’ve influenced me to try the Huda beauty corrector. Final look came out really, really nice! Can’t wait to be home and able to shop at Sephora again 😅 Thank you for sharing your purchases and the thorough review. Fingers crossed you’re healthy for the foreseeable future!
Omggggg I have total fomo that I didn’t pick up that Givenchy foundation 😂. Your background is so pretty!!! Ah I’m not even done watching but I’m so happy you posted lol
Ahh ok thank you for letting me know! Yeah I agree, the line is just not my cup of tea! Glad to know I'm not the only one who isn't that jazzed about the Intense version! Thank you for commenting <3
I really like Masque Vivant. It immediately tightens my skin and I kinda love the smell tbh. I really want to love their serums but I don't think I do. They're very hard to apply and the recommended amount to use barely covers my face. I will always stick by La Mer, they have never let me down and nothing has the same luxurious smell, feel, and effects. The regenerating serum is my holy grail.
Haha yeah the Vivant definitely has like a comforting kind of yeasty smell to it! I agree with you on the BR serums! And also totally agree with you on the La Mer!!! <3
I honestly think that their serums are the cash grabs. P50 loves everyone! Cleansing milks are good but too expensive for a cleanser. There are so many Korean milk cleansers with great ingredients and cheap. Creams there are a few very good ones. Dermopurifiante for my type actually changed my skin for the better:) I didn't mind the smell since I used it only pm time. Then it helped the best. I still use P50, creme Dermopurifiante (if necessary) and Vivant (if necessary) greetings! 🤗
