I have bought it. It is NOT silent at all. It sounds like an old vacuum cleaner! Only for concerts with loud music, not for theatrical performances.

When producing a demonstration video for a product advertised as 'Silent'.. would it not be a good idea to forego the disco music and let us just hear the machine?

Fantastic machine. I used it lately for the first time on some festival near my place, and it took maybe 10 minutes for a whole giant tent for capacity of 1500 people to be filled with haze.
