If anyone from Nottingham back in the day ..knew of a derek or John Mitchell? Let me know any stories plz ..Derek had a star on his head he was notts first man doing pallets ...
That road is a mess now. Potholes, litter and weeds all along it. Such a main route in to Nottingham with many international visitors going to Boots and the University. Nottingham City Council have destroyed this city. The swamp needs draining.

Great footage, remember it like yesterday. I was on the Lady Dorothy - Herm Seaways, sat on the wheelhouse roof. Great to see L'Etoile De Serk, Flying Christine, Herm Clipper and co'.
Thank you so much for sharing, Dave! Your video provided me with MUCH needed footage of the layout of the observation deck (currently building a 3D model of the WTC).
@Asuka ofLain The WTC also had a shopping mall with a food court... There was ironically even a restaurant near the subway station where the bombing happened called *Akbar's* Cafe... As in Allahu Akbar... I kid you not. (Most people didn't know what Akbar meant prior to 9/11)
@@Galidorquest I didn't know they have a shopping mall with a food court all I know is inside it was that it was all offices except for the north tower on the top 106 or 107 floors where it had a restaurant called windows on the world.
Wickes has been there for ever... It's not changed one bit except for the amount of rust on the red and blue W sign on the side of the building... hehe! Surely someone could give it a lick of paint ffs!
I was aboard her, it was May,1989, and I remember there being hundreds of small craft that came out to meet us,some with signs VIVA LA REIGN. I think it was quite early when we arrived in the morning
I later bought that blue and white 1985 GSXR 750 (no 14) and a few seasons later it rewarded me with the 750 class record. Took years for the newer models to beat it, it was so light.
good times! we should run a 'classic' class in the sprints from now on.............. all competitors should wear tassled leathers but maybe newer lids I was 10 at the time but i still love those bikes now
some of the best times i have had, used to come over from jersey on my gamma 250 not just to do the sprints but just to have a good time, everybody used to make you feel like you were one big family! great, great times, miss the 80`s so much
