I am really impressed with this chessboard build. Now I want to try to build one for my son who has stood by me going through cancer treatments multiple times in the last 22 years. This chessboard is special. Thanks
I am fixing to make the exact board. I had a walnut stump about 18in across and 2 feet long. I carefully cut it into slabs around nov, and let it dry really with the chainsaw. I paid 5 bucks for the chunk of wood. I went and picked up a little maple last week. I like the handles you did opposed to cutting into the bottom. I want a juice trey on one side and nothing on the other. Then one side can be for meat and the other veggies and bread. Very well done
Amazing work as always. Though the logos are super cool and amazingly done I think they look out of place on a classic chessboard but the client gets what the client wants. You sir are a master craftsman. Thanks for sharing this video.
Im about to level a bathroom floor on a 100 year old house. Im either gonna sister the joists or just lay some sleepers on top of the old sub floor before adding a new sub floor. Cant figure out which is best
I did make it! Actually, I made two. Your video was incredibly helpful. I have a 100 year old barn that had Two large cupolas that were falling apart. It took me one year to make two cupolas from scratch. The frame was treated wood, the plywood was marine grade, and the louvres and sidings are made of Royal PVC cellular wood. It should last 25 years without needing any maintenance. It is 52" wide and 95" tall. It weighed over 200lbs. I hired a professional to install it with a crane. Thank you so much. Your instructions were very clear. I will try to post a picture. Thanks again. Paul
Lovin your content. Watched every minute of the island countertop. Glad to see you used Johnson hardware. Top of the line. I did 8' tall bypass closets and the wheels were so smooth that the doors wouldn't stay closed. Just a little out of level. Those little white plastic guides? They go on the face under the trim. Keep up the good work!!!
My lady thinks chess piece vids are like the most boring vids ever but I enjoyed this. Man that vintage Lardy set… those knights speak to me and it warms my heart
Great video. Simple adjustments make a huge difference. A lot of parts to a bandsaw and this video shows the importance to get all these parts to working together. and not against you.
This is an extremely well made chess board, using the ideal hard wearing woods for the purpose. I'd love to own it, WITHOUT the company loggo which is distracting. Also, the chess pieces are modern and artistic, and nice for ornamentation, though I would have to have 'Staunton' style chess pieces (used universally in tounaments and easily recognisable) if actually PLAYING the game. Thanks for the entertaining watch.
