Hi, I'm Lisa. I'm passionate about cold process soap making and sharing hints, tips and techniques to help others create wonderful soaps. I believe that every soapmaker should be able to make the type of soap that they're really proud of and keep taking a look at whilst it's sitting on the curing rack.
Hi. Hi, could you repeat? The fat-lye ratio was? Did you say it was one cup of fat to 3/8 of lye? I’m asking because most of the other channels I’ve seen use one cup of fat to 3/4 of lye

What a lovely soap, the subtle mika lines really do elevate the design to a luxury product. Also, I just used this video to finally convince my 13 year old that: yes, math really is something she needs to learn and will use in every aspect of life... thanks!
I don't know why, but for some reason I find a lot of the soap making videos very therapeutic. After about a month of watching them, I've spent the past two weeks reading up on soap making, and decided I might try to make my own cold process for personal use. Have always had issues with reactions from everything from soap to fabric conditioners, so hoping that switching to try out a natural home made one will prove to be much kinder to my skin. The one thing I'm not entirely sure of, is how do you properly calculate the expiry time from cold process soap? Do you go by the expiry on the oils before you use them, or does the saponification over ride that and create a new expiry from when the soap was made? Just that I've seen some videos where people have said they've blended together in-date oils and rancid oils so it's confused me slightly.
I haven't seen a single soap you make that I don't LOVE. LOL.... I love them all. The knowledge and understanding you have of soaping is vast and it shows. I would LOVE to learn how to make soap as you do. I haven't learned lye/oil ratios and how to find those. It can be very complicated and I haven't been making soap but 6 months. I'm trying to learn as I can and do things right. I've learned quite a lot from your channel and I thank you for taking such time to teach. Not everyone is a true teacher but, you are. Soaping becomes simple when you explain it to me. Thank You so much.
The word that you were looking for that wasn't 'trademark'... might be 'signature'? (which feels about halfway between 'distinctive' and 'trademark' for some reason that probably isn't backed up by anything that can be cited to)
I really love this soap. It's simple and so pretty! One day, I'm going to get to England and get to a craft show that you're at just so I can buy a soap from you in person. I'll do other things while I'm there too, 😊
Lovely soap, and thanks for answering the question I was going to ask about the impression mat 😂. Maybe a video on making impression mats? Gorgeous soap as always ❤
My favorite creator outdoing the new looks. I am just mesmerized by your designs. I wish I were on that side of the pond to buy regularly. I'd have a museum of designs. 🥰🥰🥰
Oh how beautiful! Love the whole design, subtle and elegant, my favourite part would have to be the bubbles on top! So adorable! Love your craft show signature soap. Thanks so much for sharing Lisa, always love to see what you're creating next!
Dang, Lisa, even your simple soaps are gorgeous! I do love the bubbles on top, as well as the very thin, but quite distinctive, mica lines. I've never tried a masculine fragrance, but maybe I should.
