Unfortunately not, one of the recent updates broke our templates and we just don’t have the manpower to go through all the templates to update right now. However, I believe Mike Shellim has good templates that a lot of DLG pilots are using/enjoying.

Welcome to the DLG world! We see the most success for new pilots entering with a one meter DLG like the receiver-ready Deviant. Receiver-ready allows you to see how we would do all the installation details for reference on future builds, and the 1m size is easier to learn the launch mechanics on and less likely to be damaged during mishaps.
You absolutely need precise servos for DLGs due to their high performance aerodynamics. Everything must be not only precise, but repeatable. KSTs are great value servos for the performance offered.
Then you could use less expensive building materials like GFK instead of CFK. Then the plane must get other wings instead of more wight. It will not get in my mind
Hey I have a question. I want to put a ar410 receiver from spektrum in my kite dlg. Am I going to have problems with the signal if there is no antenna ?
Stupid question maybe: I am used to plugging the battery into the ESC and the ESC into the receiver. Obviously, a glider does not need an ESC. I understand that I need a 1S Lipo to power the receiver and the servos. However, where/how on the receiver do I plug the battery? Do the 1S batteries come with a plug for the three pins in the receiver?

really enjoy these videos, I have learned a lot of useful information. can't really say Id buy any armsoor products, in my opinion they have priced themselves out of a lot of business, I have seen their products up close and they are very high quality , as a composite specialist I know what that takes to produce that kind of quality . I also know what the basic products cost and I can say with absolute certainty its not as high as you might think
I been looking at getting into DLG's and im a current RC pilot and would like to buy a decent quality glider, I been dumbfounded at the prices..... ArmSoar is ridiculously priced
Conratulation! I deal with F3K category too in Mini one meter size but only two Channel. The Best Time on a training flight was over 27 minute. Awesome what these mini DLGs are able tó produce!❤❤❤
Helpful. I have a Mini Elipse I have been flying for many years now and have a similar setup for cruise, thermal and penetration through cold air or when heading over to less sinky air. I have a potentiometer set to control the flap settings to positive or negative for fine tuning and use the idle-up switch (heli) for quick flap or flaperon settings. And like you brakes via the throttle. I have also used coupled elevator to flap for tightening turns when doing aerobatics. And coupled rudder to aileron paired to differential aileron/flaperon.
Hi Thomas, thank you for this video. helpful on concepts. I download the template file and copied it to my X18S NAND /models folder. Somehow that corrupted the file system. I deleted the file, renamed the template file to 7 character filename. When I try to select it as the model to load, Ethos shows "invalid Data" would never load the template settings. I used Ethos Suite to reset the X18s to factory default. Any ideas on what maybe the cause? My Tx Ethos is now at version 1.5.4, Ethos suite shows all up to date.
Thank you for responding. The issue is the template is unusable under current Ethos 1.5.4. Can your team upgrade a 1.4 Ethos Tx with your template on it to ver 1.5 to see if Ethos suite will upgrade the Template / model to 1.5 status and functional. If successful, please upload the updated template here. If not, perhaps escalation to the fine team at FrSky can fix this incompatibility (no workaround) within their own software. I like the logic and layout of your template. There is another DLG template out there that will work with 1.5. However, its logic and layout is like OTX, hard to manage and maintain over time. Hope your team can perform the upgrade test validation to get us going. Again, many thanks.
Very helpful explanations! I would love to see a Radio Setup Video for EdgeTX (I'm now running the Radiomaster TX16S) but I only found the Spektrum Setup Video in your channel, did I miss it? I'm kind of figuring it out by myself, but it would be helpful to see how others set up their DLG on EdgeTX / OpenTX
