Of his western movies I saw Savage Pampas (filmed in Argentina), The Devil's doorway, Billy the Kid, Westward the women, Saddle the wind and Many rivers to cross. My favs Westward the women, May rivers to cross and the Devil's doorway.
mon top 3 est charro - flaming star et stay away joe. dans charro elvis a le look clint eastwood. tu as oublier la comedie western tickle me. frankie and johnny n est pas un western.
Hateful eight. But Fallout ain't bad either. The Shield was cool too. And Justified. I know most are series and not big picture shows or just in the western category but Goggin played many good roles.
I'm a collector and long time fan of all the Tarzan films, appreciated the post,The film had some good things in it,I've dissected every Tarzan film ad it's a passion of mine,Firstly the critics didn't like the film bur audiences did,the film grossed 50 million worldwide adjusted today that 200 mill, not bad,The locations were the most biautiful ever seen in a Tarzan film, and the photography wad gorgeous, Tarzan himself was magnificent certainly the best looking and best condition Tarzan,Miles o'keeffe did a great job,his movements were incredible, if only he had a better film to act in ,something f like Tarzans greatest Adventure then we could of had a series of Tarzan films starring him,and he would of done justice to the part,Bo didn't intend to make a accurate Tarzan film ,so the film must be enjoyed for what it is, not brilliant but enjoyable, obviously I know everything about the film including the making of the movie, feel free to ask me questions on something you may not know, Thanks again for the colorful post,
Jim Brown was supposed to be Bronson's final opponent, but his prior movie filming ran overtime and he had to pull out. The original script was supposed to be based on Jack Dempsey's early life where he fought many pickup fights in mining towns.
Saw this when it first opened in 1959 so I guess I was 6 years old. I had no idea who Tarzan was. But I was hooked by the pre-credit sequence alone; the whole film scared the crap out of me. Seemed like, to this impressionable 6 year old, there was a non-stop element of danger. I like the Johnny Weismuller Tarzans which I later saw on TV, but this was the best. Just like to give a shout out to Al Mulock. who plays Dino the boat skipper. He appears in the next Tarzan, as one of the Bantons. He also appeared in 'The Good The Bad and the Ugly' as the guy who should shoot, not talk. And he's the third gunfighter nobody talks about in 'Once Upon A Time in the West'. He came to a real life tragic end during the filming.
I love this movie. 5 stars always and forever. It's my go to, feel good, guilty pleasure. Anytime I am feeling down Weekend at Bernies makes everything OK. I love both equally but if I HAD to pick a favorite, 2 is my choice.
You can go down a rabbit hole with who played who. 1) Eddie played Vincent, pushing him to do things he knew he wouldn't do to manipulate him. Especially with losing on purpose to Forrest Whitaker's character to create the illusion he was over the hill. 2) Vincent played Eddie, targeting him from the beginning through John Turturro's character and purposely ignoring Eddie's advice to look stupid. All so Vincent could lure him in to eventually take him for what he was worth. I think that's what makes the movie so good is that it's left ambiguous in either direction. I'll always ask myself, "Why did Vincent want to go with Eddie if he just intended to always ignore his advice and do what he wanted?" That's why it seemed like one big hustle on his part to take down Eddie.
