Slightly different as you don’t pass through the loop near the hook eye first. SD Jam knot is for heavier lines. Thank you for your comment and interest.
Really like this concept. Only comment would be to consider finishing the head much sooner in the process. It would speed up the rest of the wire wrapping if the bobbin wasn't hanging there the whole time. And thank you for your continued support of our Project Healing Waters program in Montrose, Colorado!
It definitely gets their attention even when they miss it on the take. When that happens I call it a giggler as that is what I am doing while fishing it!
Hi from Rolla MO 🎣🤠 I liked your leach. Good job!!. When I tye mine I put a piece of mono#8lb in the under the body dining then poke a hole on the tail push it through, pull the tail out of the way and melt a ball of the mono. This will keep it from getting foiled around the hook. Sure works for me. Good health for you and your's Dave Hughes
How do you tye a fly with such big fingers?? I got some size 22 s and after dropping the first 3 hooks to the carpet lost forever. Thanks for your time and knowledge.
Thanks for your question David. It’s not so hard to tie with big fingers once the hook is in the vice, getting it there is another story. I magnetized my tying scissors to select one hook from a package then carefully transfer to right hand then into the vice. If I loose control of a small hook it usually happens if I have to switch hands or trying to manage more than one hook at a time. Great question though and maybe I will do a tips and tricks video on this in the future.
