Omfg you are a lifesaver, I just picked one of these up at the local pawn shop and it didn't come with the manual obviously, I hate trying to find the exact 5 second clip you need in a 15 minute video, thank you for your concise video sir 👍
Why would you choose to show a black receiver disassembly/assembly against a black background? Absolutely no contrast to make the process visible. Terrible!
He's referring to the takedown lever. It slides out. It's the piece you see him put back in at the end after everything else is together. Hope this helps.
I wish the tolerance on mine wasn't so tight but of the hundreds of times I have disassembled, cleaned and reassembled my R1 and other 1911 variations. This made it easier then the textbook version and is a fantastic way to do it. Great video!
I'm new-ish to AR maintenance and this was a great guide. (for a while i just cleaned the barrel after firing and squirted some oil on moving parts) Does the gas tube that pushes the bolt back need any attention during cleaning?
Great video Mark! I’ve watched it so many times and I can finally disassemble, clean & reassemble my Remington R1 1911! Thank you very much Dr. McDonough! From another RU-vid creator!
I have repeatedly been unable to dependably use this pistol even with a variety of ammunition and careful lubrication and cleaning. Thank you for this presentation. I had difficulty moving slide forward even with pressure.
Ok good vedio my sig, the release button for the clip won't hold the clip in , I removed the hand covers and slipped the pin out it has a woren spot on the pin thats supposed to hold the clip the pin is made of plastic, any ideals?
Awesome vid Thanks My take down won't "take down" anymore because the tightening bolt thing in the middle is too tight How can I loosen that? Can't find information anywhere I think I should take the stock off to have more access to the bolt thing
