Its hard. Being victim of blame, guilt, shame unable to wash your concious free and move on 😊 it can feel like having a hook in the back or a demonic attachment, it keeps you stuck. Some actualise great things with lets call them demons, depend on how you work with your youth, youth decites our future! But set free, start all over if possible ❤
through the pain in my eyes all i see in my infancy multicolored stains abhorred gross morbid tales of my failures so bored i go out of my mind taken aback ready to attack........heavyset;trap my fear ; such crap.......
Amazing, amazing song and band. At 14, I was introduced to them and at 47, still loving them. Happy to have seen them in the early 90s. Takeanese, etc…just killer.
'Progress' is not progress, it is everlasting destruction Technology is backwards Born of MACHINE Worship MACHINE Slave to MACHINE Become MACHINE Modern civilization, a contradiction in terms In terms of survival Man is made to obey the... Are we nothing but living... MACHINE - a dead hand, it's work expresses death No spirit in it's skeletal framework The falsification of Man, to what end? TO WHAT END? Born of MACHINE Worship MACHINE Slave to MACHINE Become MACHINE Perverted ingenuity of Man Fools, we've lost out earthly wisdom Not the way of nature In a man-made state of disarray
Saw them in the early 90's sometime in Louisville with GWAR (during GWAR's more "angsty" period, and they oddly fit together well). One of the most incredible nights ever.
It just builds, then that break point around 3 minutes is just insane. I had the absolute pleasure of seeing these guys wield magic ~5 times, a few w/Godflesh and once w/Jarboe. That Jarboe gig damn near changed my life.
Cease this long, long rest Wake and risk a foul weakness to live When it all breaks down Watch the smoke and bury the past again Sit and think what will come Raise your fears and cast them all away [Whispering:] As each hour passes, our shadows grow taller And the darkness expands, until the light disappears completely... And we became our shadows And we became our shadows And we became our shadows And we became our shadows Away! Away! Away! Away! Away! Away! Away! Away!
Started listening to Death Metal ca 1990 so I thought I knew what heavy was. But the first time I came across the video for Locust Star on Headbangers Ball I experienced heavy like never before. Not in the traditional sense perhaps but certainly the most intense, emotional and dynamic.
LYRICS: Torn of this land's disgrace Too hungry to contain a future The sun bathes my wounds with a veil of rage It's rays dyed with the blood of our disrespect Suffering for the wisdom long forgotten The sound of bloodletting echoes on the wind The suicide of drought for a faith destroyed We starve with pride and glass in our throats Harvest their return Those who drive away the sun The masks lay fallen, sheltered in the dust Tearing our flesh amongst wolves See how they run as we laugh In lunar horizons there is understanding Harvest their return Carry my soul to the sun
Lmao the annotation restored extension makes the annotation go straight to my user profile. Forgot that RU-vid still only allowed 10 minute videos back in the day. Man RU-vid sucks a lot more now, but at least they make you upload a video hours long.
while everybody else was just slowing down punk songs and doing bad tony iommi impressions, neurosis was out here making something timeless. this makes EHG and Crowbar sound like the radio.
Basically depression incarnate in sonic form. This is what makes Neurosis truly one of the best ever, it is not just sonically heavy, it is emotionally the heaviest as well.
