I just bought a 48 & a 4.5 gal tank. I put "Hollywood" bars on mine. Iam using Vance & Hines Long Shots without the baffles. It is my dream bike......I love the look, I love the power, the sound and now that I have the rear suspension "dailed" in...the ride is great. Thanks Frank....Your 48 inspired my build. Everyone who looks at it falls in love with it. The big tank and Hollywood bar combo completely change the look and many people dont recognize that it is a sportster.
hey bro, thanks for sharing this video. I have a sportier 1200xl with the same tank and I really like the drag bar looks of it, where did you get your from? also how is the mirror clearance by does it hit the tank? appreciate your feedback. Cheers
i put a HD 4.5 gal tank on my 48 and the mirrors hit the Tank. I had to move the mirrors to the TOP of the bars. The factory bars are too narrow and the mirrors are too stubby to be useful on top of the handlebar. I put on WIDE Hollywood bars with the mirrors on top and they work well with that combination.
Frank-good job on the bike. I really like the tank idea. Where did you get it, or is it a custom made tank. I have a48 too, and want to change mine out. 👍🏻
