I wish someone would just go over exactly how to string the wire. Nobody does this anywhere. 😢
@charlesmoman
@charlesmoman 12 дней назад
I feel like starting around 9:00, I am showing you how I wired them up - I just did not do that up in the ceiling. It is just a long daisy chain of wire and puck lights. Check out the explorist.life website for probably the kind of detail you would like. They also did a very comprehensive Transit van build that would show this process. Good luck.

At 3:45 you can clearly see the AC plugged into a power strip. There is an exterior plug you plug an extension cord to a campground power podium. I could have pointed that out. Everything else you asked about does not exist on the Cool Camp - so why mention a list of things that are not available?

A Runaway is basically a blank canvas that the owners add to - lights, curtains, flooring, TV, etc. watch any of the modifications videos to see what people have done. After this video, in 2020, we got the first fiberglass 6x8 RangeRunner and loved it. Now we have a 2018 Ford Transit we converted. Life goes on. 😊

@@chrisyates1574 It is aging, but has held up very very well five years later. No one would reasonably expect it to remain pristine and neither did I. It still is a beautiful retaining wall with colorful flowers. If the top row of bags ever got really bad, I can simply lift off that row and then the next well-preserved row will show for many more years. I actually had this all thought out. Way down the road - I might replace it with a wood structure now that I do a fair amount of that kind of work.

Many do it that way - no issues after 3 years and I inspect. You have to do the butyl tape under the fan edge, then the lap sealant goes over it all - standard procedure.

Good video, but hate to burst your bubble, I'm in Australia, and a very experienced camper and adventurer. Joolca products are far superior in quality, design and reliability, I personally use Joolca, and recomend their products, whereas I have used Kickass products in the past, and have had failures especially with the Hot Water systems/pumps etc, mostly when in remote locations. No quality nor reliability in their products Thanx
@charlesmoman

No bubble bursting here. If it worked for me, it worked. Maybe if I bought a second one it would fail, but when I have one in hand that is working did that is what I report. I know Joolca is great, but it just did not work for our situation. Our Ford transit works wonderfully, but a guy down the street might have one where the transmission blew up after 10,000 miles.

Glad to hear from you again. Have enjoyed your videos. As one who just went from a small trailer to a van this spring, I wonder if your travels have changed with the van. With a trailer, I have always established a base for a few days and then took day trip excursions. With the van, there seems to be no need to come back to the same campsite. What has been your experience? A thought for a future video? P.S. really enjoyed your most important trip video.
@charlesmoman
@charlesmoman 4 месяца назад
Thanks for watching. It has been 6 or 7 months since our last video - the best trip one. I just do not have much to videotape about now. We are not interested in vlogging about our trips, because it takes the fun out of the trip for us. I came up with the idea for that video long ago, but we never got around to doing it. I think I lost s few subscribers because of it, but I have never cared about sub numbers and I do not monetize my videos anyway. Yes, sometimes because of the van we might not return to the campsite. The exception would be if a location was a major destination for us like Rocky Mountain NP or other national park. Blessings!

Just get a keypad that has its own computer. When you send a signal aka with a keyfob or keypad it just sends a 12v or 5v pulse that you tie that wire into the lock button wire that locks or unlocks your doors on the inside of the car. Can add a keyfob or keypad by doing so, its fairly easy with certain aftermarket products.

It’s a hotly debated topic on forums. We found it made a huge difference in quieting the van, despite what others say. But those same people think it is ok to spray lizard skin all over the inside for sound control. Choices! It ends not costing that much and does not add much weight. Good luck.
