The fans are to keep the inverter cool, not the batteries. Lifepo4 batteries themselves don't have fans, inverters do. That being said, I would assume a faulty inverter temp sensor is causing the circuit to stay engaged and you're right, they will fail prematurely and it will likely be after warranty and then their negligence will then be your problem 😑 Good luck
Just an aside, I've never been able to order, then successfully receive a panel anywhere near that large without it arriving damaged, usually a shattered glass face and/or banged up corners. Thanks.
@@davef.2329 But local. A lot of people buy pallets of new solar panels & then post on facebook marketplace. Then you can pick it up yourself. That’s how I bought my 385w panels that I just picked up. But the rest I ordered from Amazon & luckily none arrived broke or damaged.
This is what i call going down the rabbit whole of solar generators, you get a small one to start, then you realize its not quite big enough so you move up, and it just keeps going. I see so many here on YT that have 4 to 10 or more, some given, some purchased. I personally dont have any use for anything under 2000w continuous. As far as running things in my house, cords running everywhere, plugging something in here, then dragging units back and forth for different jobs throughout the house is just not happening. I did lots of research first, bought 1 time and was done, 1 30 amp plug to the dryer plug (50 amp) runs my whole house. I could have purchased a ton of chinese high frequency units, but I wanted something built to take high inrush current over and over, super reliable, built like a tank, lots of solar input, expandable, modular, not to heavy, repairable, which high frequency units are not, so I looked for a low frequency unit, tranformer based, just like the electric grid is, and bam!, There was only 1 on the market, 6 yrs ago, and I dont see anymore on the market now, just the same company. Whats really interesting is, this unit has been running a off grid vacation house, not a tiny house, 24 hrs a day for 5 yrs straight, with 3000w of solar input, and hasent even blinked. Glad I bought 2 units,6 yrs ago. I only have 1 regret, they didnt have a 240v unit then, and now they do.
when I installed my system I used 12 200watt panels at 100/watt. I wanted a 'turn key" kit. 1 Bluetti AC300 and 4 B300 battues. cost: about 12k. $500 in transfer switches.. I'm not counting several hundred dollars in wiring and connecters. $400 in 2x4 mounts with casters from Harbor freight. casters are required to change the angle in Winter and for grass mowing. no 220 volts. to get some 220 I need to double my system. currently I can run 1/3 the house for 36 hours with no sun, in the summer. I got a 1/3 kick back from the government that year on taxes.
Sounds like you have a nice system. I have (3) 700w solar arrays, (1) 600w, & (1) 420w array. But I run 2-refrigerators, 2-stand up freezers, 70” TV & security cameras & washing machine all run on solar day & night.
Great video again. I’m just really starting to research all this after I started looking for a RV… I’m thinking could I just place my charge stations around the house and run my solar panels to each station instead of having them in one room? Thanks.
Yes, you can just get a long MC4 connector cable (at your desired length/always get a little more than you think you really need😁). And like you said take it from room to room. I just literally finished a step-by-step instruction guide for Newby beginners on "how to" from knowing what panels to get to reaching your power station & everything in between. I will release it Wednesday morning at 9am, so watch for it. It shows you how not to over voltage your power station with too much panel.
Great video! Found this online at Walmart for $449 free delivery. I’m looking for something to try and cut cost of my power bill. Would this be a good start? Thank you EcoFlow Portable Power Station DELTA 2 Lite 950Wh LiFePO4 (LFP) Battery,Solar Generator,1800W AC Output for Outdoor Camping,Home Backup,Emergency,RV, Walmart Exclusive
Yes, that's a great deal. But I would recommend the DABBSSON DBS1300. it has 1330-WH & they run deals on their website & Ebay brand new for $599 with a 5-year warranty. If you watch my channel & see my 2- refrigerators & 2-freezers the Dabbsson run my kitchen double door for 14/Hrs. And all four fridge/freezers for 7-Hrs/30-min. I'm not affiliated with them at all. I'm just saying with the newer solid-state batteries they go much longer than regular LifePo4 batteries & a great 5-Year warranty. But Ecoflow is a great product & very reliable as well.
I'm glad you're happy with it. Some people swear by them, others AT them. But we hear that from all brands. I have a Pecron e1500 lfp and the new Oupes Mega 1. Absolutely happy with both! Be safe all🙏
I have the e1500 & it runs great but doesn't like my large stand-up freezer in dining room. And I also have the OUPES MEGA1 but I have already arranged to send it back for a replacement because it will not calibrate. It gets down to 0% real fast on screen & stays there for about an hour & a half before actually depleting of power & shutting down. But OUPES is going to send a return shipping label on the 24th & replace it. They said some of the first batch has this problem, but it is now fixed. And yes, there are always a few bad eggs in every model & brand. Thanks for watching my channel & take care my friend.
OUPES A JOKE Bought mine july 2024 it's oct 2024 froze up 2 weeks dealing with techs and still no power. Mn cold not even the offer of new batt just jumping thru there hoops. Don't buy.
If you bought it in 2024 then you definitely still have warranty. And my MEGA5 is still working perfect & I use it at least 4-nights a week. Some units do have problems as all companies & models do. But OUPES has excellent warranty. Just simply have it replaced.
I bought a 1500 and used it a few times until it quit producing power. The screen still worked but when you plugged something into it nothing happened. I emailed the support group and they have not resolved the problem yet so take my advice Don't buy one. Get you a better product cause customer support is useless.
I just messaged them last week about a unit & battery not sinking together. They messaged be back in 2-days & told me what I needed to do. So, I calibrated the two & now they are working perfect. I hate that yours stopped working. Does yours not have warranty anymore? It being the e1500 it should have had 5-years?
Yes, it goes into an industrial power surge strip & then with home electrical wiring it runs into every room of my home & comes up through the floor as a female receptacle. Then I plug my refrigerator or freezers, tv, etc into it & the Bluetti or whichever power station runs my home electrical needs.
I think you did well with getting this. I have the same unit and am happy with it. The WiFi and Bluetooth on mine is weak (even with it next to the modem). Thanks for the review. Take care.
So far Both of mine have done great & no problems. I hate to hear about yours. Time will tell with my R600 & R1500. But as of this moment I love the R1500. It's took everything I've thrown at it.
i love watching the videos for the large power stations.. i cant afford em... ill be saving and watching for sales.. someday someday... sigh.. someday i will dent that light bill lol with one of em!
The most affordable 2000w power station to watch for far as money is AllPowers R1500. It's awesome & with my link its around $475 or so. Its actually a pretty good unit & will run your refrigerator.
@@andrievbastichy8551 Yes, & I'm getting ready soon to do a video on the eb3000 expandable battery for the e2000. Here is video link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IFByR3Gkhl4.htmlsi=5snV6sPWbFtdm4Yi
That was a good video! I'm working on grounding my panels to my off grid system. But I've been seeing videos that are saying you should tie the grounding of your panels to the grounding of your house? Do you know if that's necessary to bond them?
In all honesty as long as they are grounded to a grounding rod it's all good. If you already have an existing grounding rod I would use it simply to save money. I hope this helps & thanks for watching my channel.
Trying to setup my new Mega 5. Can't get it to connect to the app: when it briefly connects I try to use BT, connection fails; try WiFi the connection fails. Per instruction in. the MickeyMouse owner's manual, it says to contact support, so I try to call. The rep wants an email with screenshots of the problem, rep doesn't want to walk me through anything. At this point, I am very disappointed with the product because of the "customer service". Plus I don't think the device is working properly. So far, I am very frustrated and wishing that I could just pack it back up and back to the company........If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly like to hear them.
@@RustyDaw It has to be connected through Wi-Fi & your internet password through app. This way it can find your unit. Then after it’s connected you then can connect through BT. This way you can upload new updates.
@@KYHill-billy Thank you for the reply. Doing the initial setup I press the iot button, and the BT & WiFi icons flash, but only for a moment. I hold the iot down and then press the next step as shown. That brings up the Mega 5 icon. I click on that & the WiFi page comes up. I entered all the information requested. It starts the ADD icon, and once completed it states device addition failed (in red). The only option is COMPLETE, which takes me back to the beginning. The Rep I spoke with said I didn't need the APP to operate so I am going to try that. At the moment, I am trying to charge up the system. The Owner's manual isn't clear on that operation either. Just this morning an email came with tips for the Mega 5: Turn the AC switch to 'ON' for electrical input. The only screen that gives any information for this activity is the BackUp battery, not the main system. To this Vintage fella, some things seem just backward, especially the "customer service". I hope I haven't blown a bunch of money for an inferior system. Appreciate any help or further suggestions. Might be offline in a couple days, Milton wants to pay a visit.
@@RustyDawif you would like, I will be home all day tomorrow & I’m up by 7am. E-mail me your phone# & I’ll call you at your desired time. That’s if you would like a little help. My e-mail is eastkyprepper@yahoo.com. Give me a time to call & I’ll do so. Have a good one.
I have run house wiring from each room to my bedroom, then all go to a large industrial power surge strip. Then it plugs into power station. doesn't matter if only one or multiple plug-in outlets are used on power station. All outlets or just one outputs so called continuous output. Very safe as long as your wiring & or cords are rated for the wattage you are using. Thanks for the question & I hope it helps.🙂
Hey brother, how did you fare with the flooding and wind up there, the hurricane went to the east of us in the panhandle of Florida. The Big Bend area is devastated, we were on the "clean" side of the storm, some wind and rain, no power outages.
@@t.d.harris1311 We received some wind & a lot of rain. Trees blown down but all good here. Thank you for asking. I hope you & your family are in good shape.
Love your videos. Just curious...I know you had a difficult time with your Oukitel P5000, but now that you have your replacement, are you as excited about it as before? Does it now meet your expectations (aside from the customer service experience)? Very helpful info. Keep up the good work.
@@joanmanuel7744 It has run flawlessly & is actually very efficient. So far so good & I’m very glad I purchased it. I just wish oukitels customer service was better than what they are. But I would recommend the P5000 to anyone. It can run my aplainces through the night & still have around 45% left when I get up in the morning. Thank you for watching my videos, it really means a lot & helps the channel.
@@KYHill-billy I'm working on my solar prep now, several years ago, in 2020 the Lord prompted us to store up the essentials, didn't understand at first, but after His guidance we started preparing with food and the basic essentials. We encouraged our family, church family and neighbors to do the same. Some listened, some didn't, then came covid and the world was turned upside down. We had some preps but that's when I realized that we must do more and even be ready to help those that didn't heed to the warning in our family. What is coming next, unless people wake up and turn back to God will make those days look good. Keep up the good work God has given you to do, remember Noah only saved himself and his family, no one else would listen.
@@t.d.harris1311 I keep preaching to our relatives & friends also. But you can’t make them listen. I just try to show others how to start & keep prepping. And yes all need to bring back God into our lives & not be ashamed. I try to always include in my videos to help family, friends, neighbors & say “Godbless”. And I mean every word. Keep doing Gods work. 🙏
When you look at how much food is not being grown all around the world, you have to think what food will cost next year. Thanks for sharing. If you ever get to Lexington, I'll buy ya lunch!
@@jessicarabbit8139 It depends on the refrigerator. I have (2) refrigerators, one is a average fridge with freezer on top & fridge below & I actually ran a test last night on run time & it ran the fridge for 5-1/2 hours. But I also have a larger double door refrigerator that it will not run because of the surge voltage is too high. If you go & look at some of my other videos I show both refrigerators in them. This way you can compare them to yours. But also know that my double door fridge is 30-years old & newer ones run with much less voltage. Hope this helps.
@@grindychum No 5525 barrel ports, 60-colt solar input, 400w solar input & quiet fans & new upgraded BMS protection, and lighter port can put out 120w, and 2 usb-a 100w .
@KYHill-billy it is 120 watts output - it states this on their website. 120V is AC inverter output not DC. Because 12v outputs are 10a. 12v x 10a=120w
I'm sorry to hear that. If you would like to e-mail me @ eastkyprepper@yahoo.com & give me your order# & e-mail I can have my AllPowers contact message you & maybe they can get you taken care of. I'll help as much as I can. Hope to receive an e-mail from you. And tag #iAllPowers in your comment so that they might see it.
Peace.. does the gas generator need to be of the inverter type? Also are you calculating for voltage drop over the distance of the run? Maybe it might be a good idea to use larger gauge wire ( 30amp vs 20amp ) . IMHO…Peace
You can use any gas generator. Power stations usually have this info in their manuals but yes, any gas generator can be used to charge a power station. The power station already has BMS protection so that it will prevent surges or too much power coming into the unit. And far as voltage drop, the distance isn't that far at all. Literally 30-ft at most. And I am using new certified house wiring. It's the same gauge as what is in my home already.
