Hi I'm Nat, a photographer, surfer and ocean lover spending my time traveling and exploring the dreamiest I can find. My home base is currently Santa Cruz, California!
Did u do a packing video? U should do one traveling with a longboard.. soo nervous to bring my baby. Trying to go for our honeymoon in January.. Any advice would be awesome.
Hm expected better surfing out of Santa Cruz. Best surfer is the goofy guy in the beginning. I guess the rippers all come out when it’s bigger in winter
Hey is this a good beginner level? I am trying to get into surfing as a hobby but I am also worry about sharks and stuff. Any advise or recommendation? T hanks
Lots of good beginner spots around Santa Cruz like cowells, jacks and capitola :) I would recommend starting at one of those spots/getting a lesson or two to get you going.
My nephew’s dad Bruce has a kid took me surfing to pleasure point we were from down south. It was the first cut back I ever did the way it was patient and gave me time. I’ll never forget that feeling.
Holy F?!$ that place has gotten crowded! It was bad in the 90’s but NOTHING like that. I’m about 10 minutes from Lowers and it gets just as crowded, but at least there’s a left as well as a right. That’s just a right with a small take off spot and literally a hundred people on it all elbow to elbow. No thanks!
Love this! I have two Timber Surf Co. boards and they've been super fun this summer. Planning to order a couple more for next winter. Is that a cork handplane I saw sitting on the shelf at 0.55?
Thanks for sharing. The vibe in your videos is really great, I really like the laidback easy tone, it illustrates what surfing has always been about for me, so thank you. Do you guys have any thoughts about the fins you use. Perhaps include what you like in a future video. I've always called them skegs, but I suppose that just shows how long I've been doing this. The piece wouldn't need to be highly technical, more what works for you in the real world. I've not long bought my first longboard. The skeg length was an inch long for every foot length of board. I've been playing with placement but not noticed huge differences yet.
Honestly all the almonds Ive tried paddle extremely easy, you’ll have fun on a lumberjack for sure! Catching waves on the lumberjack is cake as well, I think depending on what board you’re used to it can take some getting used to the lack of rocker in the nose! Once you find your sweet spot balance-wise it is one of my very favorite all around boards!
Hey! Ryan (the shaper/owner from Timber) was making a board using an agave wood blank. There is an epic company in South Africa called “Grow Blanks” that makes them from Agave shoots. They are a bit hard to get in the US right now but I think are becoming more available 🤙
