I’m painting a huge ocean mural on my bathroom wall, and I’ve been having trouble with painting the waves, so I’m going to try your method today, and I’ll let you know how it turns out! Thanks Emily 😊
What a lovely person you are and so generous with your talent and time and I’m very grateful that you gave us the time you have, 35 minutes is fine and if it took longer I’d stay the distance coz it’s so excellent, thanks heaps from Aussie 👍🎉
She makes me feel so clam and helps me paint so much better, first video I saw was of the purple ocean sunset thing and I did my very first painting and it turned out awesome !! Trust in her, keep calm and keep doing it, so what if you mess up? You can always keep practicing on a new canvas or even a sheet of paper! Happy painting people!!
Hello!! Greetings! I'm from Argentina, please translate your videos. I'm interested in knowing how you work with acrylic. I spy on your colleague. And I'm also crazy like you ARE.😂
I’m having a lot of trouble coming up with the colors and it seems like my paint is dragging on my card board whatever you call it. It’s quite frustrating. The first time I did it The colors were better but when I went over the second time thinking I was gonna get even better. It just got worse and worse.😢 probably the best thing to do is put it away for tonight clean out my brushes, clean my pallet and put everything away. Sometimes if you walk away, things are better when you come back.😢
I worked for Disney as a background artist and we where able to work with acrylics and acheive an oil look. It’s how you handle the paint, keeping it wet and badger brushing the layers. But yes I agree oils gets the effect faster.
The way I was taught to blend with acrylics, is to prepare the key colour in abundance and keep them in an air tight container which allows you to preserve acrylics for weeks. Then you would blend other colours with the key/base colours and add the subtle changes with a dry brush. Thus in this case you would have a batch of blue sky preserved and ready to be blended with other colours later on.
Hi I have used silicone mix in my moulds and painted them with gesso for a base for waxing but the gesso flakes off have you any idea how I can prevent it peeling please
okay so liquitex can be used for canvases and paper ? Do some canvas need to be sanded down and do you use a piece of sand paper or just the liquitex by the way your really pretty and dont forget to drink your water stay hydrated
Hi Emily, I know this was a couple of years ago, but I just saw this whilst scrolling. This was a great tutorial, I mostly, lol, grasped the whole concept of layering and painting different tones of the same or similar hues. It really is amazing to see it come to form and become 3d with just a subtle change in hues 😃 Really fascinating how all those lil touches of paint became one thing...water lol 😅 Unreal thanku so much Kaz from Oz ❤
