Nice video, but it would be nice to see more of the actual installation process. I noticed the same thing as @knightrider54 that the installer did not tape the edge, yet, it says to do so on the spoonflower instructions. Would love a more comprehensive video on the install of this product. Thanks!
Really great class! Thank you, Danika and Jessie. Just to clarify, what canvas size do you use to create patterns for wallpaper? A 24” canvas? Or, 27” for larger scale and 13.5” for smaller scale? And using these sizes, can it be automatically rescaled to 24” on Spoonflower for wallpaper?
I install this paper all the time, it’s in high demand among clients. I’m not a fan for installing it though for the fact that the seems need overlapped and double cut for proper seems. I recommend floating the walls with a premixed joint compound and sanded smooth, then apply a Roman r-35 clear tacky sealer for better adhesion.
Thank you for this pattern! Just a heads up, we used the Large size of the pattern and our dog's collar did not fit through the hole along the top. We changed it up a bit ourselves to make it larger to fit.
This project turned out very well! I made smocks for all four granddaughters. If I might be very personal, please take care of your voice. I am from a family of singers and your voice makes me worry about nodes on your vocal cords.
Wonderful. Thanks for the video. I love texture but have been puzzled by how people get what seems like vectorized fabric sort of textures behind their patterns. I'm never quite sure if they were created with an overall texture behind the pattern or maybe a repeat pattern brush behind a pattern. I use Affinity now rather than Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, but I figure it applies to Affinity's processes too.
I used this store to bay fabric , they sent the fabric damage in the fabric paint. I sent a e-mail with the picture of the fabric they sent to me. They ignored me. They not good people.
This is a perfect example of why you need to hunt down the information you need from various sources instead of paying $500 or more for a class from a surface pattern designer who compiled this same information and is marketing it to people. Anyway, great job ladies and thanks for allowing us artists out here to learn great advice from those in the know.
Impossible to follow along for a beginner. 😢 the free pattern doesn’t do any good if you don’t teach us how to sew it. Please make a detailed video for this pattern. Thank you
Hi Anjana! I just did a wall in our bathroom with your peel and stick-and it couldn’t have been easier! The color matched the test swatch, the repeat of the design aligned great and the paper adhered just fine even though the wall is textured. (I knew it would because I’d left the test swatch up for a month or so just to see what if anything would happen.) As for the instructions taped to each roll: if you simply put the instruction side out, with your logo of course, then customers would know there’s something important for them to read before installing. I simply cut through the tape with the same blade I used to trim the wallpaper. I’m super pleased with the product. It feels heavy duty. And now I can’t wait to get going on the second wall. Happy wallpapering!
I have only started watching this on youtube, but I knew immediately that I would watch over and over if nothing more for just the motivation. You are a great motivator and I definitely appreciate it! Thank you Mable.
Great fabric design ideas and great tutorials for quilting, so thank you for that! I hope you feel nothing but warmth from customers and the Spoonflower community.
What a beautiful interview and a wonderful human being! Thank you for being you, Mathew! And thank you, Spoonflower, for bringing such a creative person into your community!
Tendrías mejores resultados grabando en un pedazo de madera. Obtendrías una bella textura de la superficie de la madera. Busca xilografía en tutoriales. Imprime en papel de arroz.
